Discovering DVC timandlesley style-A PTR, 19 days TRIP REPORT LINK PG.119!!!!!

I love the Luke Photo pretending he is the Yeti :rotfl2:

Great family shot at DHS :wizard:

I just read quite a few pages and here are all my comments:

Lauren’s hair is just adorable!!

Congrats on BLT for October! WTG Tim!

I’ll have to check out the rap when I am home but I can’t wait to hear it!

Ooh ANOTHER rap. I’ll have to check that one out at home too!

Loved reading about the beach trip. How fun!

OMGosh, SW flight went down AGAIN? Unreal!

Glad you got on the waitlist for Kidani….If you did get in, I want to be surprised and I’m sure I will read about that soon. LOL

2 questions:
So you can’t pay for the dining plan ahead of time now? Or is that just when you’re DVC?

Diane (dddisrunner) or anyone who knows, how do you charge your tips to the room if you are on the DDP and are not paying for your meal? I’d love to know how that works. If it's already been discussed, sorry

When using DVC, we are paying with points, so payments for DDP and other things are charged to the room when we get there - or paid in cash at check in.

As for the DDP tips, they bring you a ticket that shows the credits used, and the total bill before the credits. You just write the tip amount in and total it and sign it. You give the server your KTTW card, which has your DDP on it and you're all set! Easy Peasy:thumbsup2

Lesley,
We bought the Capri Sun flavored waters and froze them the night before. Took them to the parks frozen and when Baylor was ready for a cold drink they were thawing out and he had a really cold drink.
Anita

You will be blown away by Nemo, so magical. There must be lot of excitement going on at home, the count down and packing are all part of the fun... I am sure you and Tim will be to excited to sleep the night before:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:...

Hey Lesley---Happy Belated Birthday!!!! Was it weird celebrating it at home this year? I know you have been down at WDW for the past couple of birthdays! I loved your birthday update on your blog too!!! I too am turning 33 this year (in September) and you couldn't have put the same thoughts and feelings I have about that any more eloquently!

I have in the past used a mini-cooler to store bottled water in the bottom of our Maclaren and it has always worked out so well! It serves as a great anchor for the stroller in times when it might tip backwards from too much being hung on the handles.

I am sure this week is going way too fast in some ways, and not quickly enough in others! Relax and enjoy----it is going to be GREAT!

Ok Tim and Lesley...I finally got around to reading your Pre-trippie that I have been subscribed to for absolutely ages!!!!!

OMG amazing!!! I'm sooo excited for you guys! There is soo much I want to say but I can't remember!:rotfl:

Your little family are just soo gorgeous and its really obvious how much you all mean to one another and its a joy to witness!

I love all your little updates and stories about your life in general too!

Unfortunately the sound card in my PC is goosed and I can't hear the audio on any of your video clips and my laptop is away getting fixed ( toddlers and gadgets don't mix!:rotfl2:) so as soon as I have that back I will have another look at them!

I just want to say I am soo excited for you guys I hope you have an amazing holiday! Thanks for sharing all your plans with us!

Can't wait to read all about it when you guys get home!

Thanks for coming out of lurkdom, Glad you enjoyed last years report, great to have another reader from the Cincy area. It does sound like a dream vacation and we sure hope it turns out that way. WL is the best isn't it!!! Good luck convincing your DH. : )
Lesley

Lesley:

WL was fabulous. Jeremy loved the bunk beds and on our last day, we were the flag family. It was so beautiful on top of the roof and you could see all the park icons. Afterwards, the ranger took us to breakfast on the CL. It was an awesome way to end our vacation.

Well, I convinced DH ! We are going Oct 29-Nov 3 and doing MNSSHP. I can hardly wait. My mom is going with us this time so Jeremy is very excited. We are staying at Coronado Springs. I can hardly wait. Thank goodness we have a Myrtle Beach vacation in August and some other things going on between now and then or I would go crazy!

That is awesome! We were flag family a while back and weren't treated to a breakfast!, VERY COOL!

I think I will do the mini cooler then, great tip on the anti-tipping, that stroller does have that problem. I actually enjoyed having my bday here this year, it was nice being able to spend it with my family, they enjoyed it too. Glad you enjoyed my blog post, it is the God's honest truth ; )
Lesley
4 days to go???? OMG, it is coming so fast!
I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:
You will be blown away by Nemo, so magical. There must be lot of excitement going on at home, the count down and packing are all part of the fun... I am sure you and Tim will be to excited to sleep the night before:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:...
I can't WAIT to see Nemo! It is going to be hard to sleep FOR SURE!
Lesley,
We bought the Capri Sun flavored waters and froze them the night before. Took them to the parks frozen and when Baylor was ready for a cold drink they were thawing out and he had a really cold drink.
Anita
How did you freeze them, was there an area in the mini fridge in the room to freeze? We'll only be in a studio so we won't have a big fridge.

I love the Luke Photo pretending he is the Yeti :rotfl2:

Great family shot at DHS :wizard:
I love that pic too!
Lesley
I love the update! I am getting excited right along with you.

Is Lauren feeling any better?:flower3:
Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, she is feeling better thank goodness.

Your AK day does sound great! Next to the MK it's my favorite park. :thumbsup2
I can't wait!!!!

:yay:OOh ooh ooh!! I can't wait till you see Finding Nemo too!!! We bought the CD we love it so much. Now our whole family has the entire show memorized!!

How's Lauren feeling?
I know, getting so close! Nemo will be awesome, didn't know they sold the CD's , interesting! Lauren is feeling better, thanks for asking!
I like your idea of using the stroller to tote your water. If we still used a stroller I would do this too.

I hope Lauren is up and feeling better. Maybe she's resting up for next week.

We have the same park plans as you for Tuesday. We'll be on the lookout! I don't think we'll hit Fantasmic unless it's the late show. We have WCC at 8. I'm putting off paying bills until Friday. Of course I only have to cover 8 nights of missed bills.

Love the posts!
Yes, I think we'll do that to tote the water. WCC is fun, yeah, the bills have been a challenge but I think I'm "all good" now : )

Happy Birthday a day late, Lesley! Just wanted to say how envious I am of your trip. I will be buying into DVC in Dec 2010 (only a yr and a half away!) and then will be able to make regular trips to the World. I've been 13 times, so it isn't like I don't go, I just don't go on a regular basis (last time was Dec 2007). Anyway, I'm just so ready to go back and I don't know when that will be - though I did get an email from Disney for AMAZING rates for Aug/Sept so will book, just in case - so I am really enjoying your PTR, though I wish I was a stow-away with your crew! :) Keep up the good work!!
Thank you! Exciting to be buying in December, any reason for that date? New or resale? What property ? (gee I have a lot of questions huh). That is exciting!
Lesley

Oh Boy...the ANTICIPATION!!!!!!!!
:dance3::yay::yay::yay::dance3:

Glad you are enjoying the trip report. For the dining, we can't pay until we get there, which we could do it earlier. You can charge the tip using your room key card/ credit card/ or tip cash, we'll be doing cash.

I think the cooler is a good idea. I hate paying the outrageous prices for bottles of water there! My only worry would be running out of water, is 2 cases enough?

We love Nemo. We saw it for the first time last trip. We are trying Y &Y for the first time in October. Can't wait to read your review. :)
I know, I almost did 3 cases, guess we'll see how we do, I packed a ton of juice boxes for the kids too. Y&Y is great, love their food.
Lesley

I love that picture of your family in front of Sorcerer Mickey's hat! Soo good. :thumbsup2 I think your water plan sounds great!! We're not taking a stroller, so we'll probably just put a few in Michael's backpack. But since you're taking a stroller, it'll be perfect! SOOO soon!!!
I like that pic too. SOOOOOOOOO soon indeed!
Lesley

Happy Birthday Lesley, hope you had a great dinner and great day! Do you have to find room in your suitcase to add any presents? I love the this time next week pictures. and plans.
Thank you, it really was a great day! No, no presents this year, but souvies for sure!!! (using my bday money ; )
Lesley

Stress this week..getting ready, but nothing but fun next week!!:cool1:
We need to try Yak and Yeti next time, looks good.
I agree, can't wait until next year!
Lesley
Love it! It seems so close when you post the "this time next week" pics. :woohoo:
Glad you enjoy it, more coming!
Lesley

I don't remember a spot for writing in tips on the DDP bill. :scratchin
That would have been much easier. Last Sept. we were on the DDP, and I wanted to use my Disney gift cards last year to pay for our tips so at most meals at least one of us ordered an "adult beverage" and then paid for them with the gift card and wrote the tip in under the gift card/drink receipt.

I never realized you could charge the tip to your room. If so we could have done that and paid the room charges off with our gift cards like you had said before.

We did have a full size fridge but I think that there is a small freezer in the mini fridge in a studio. You will have a much better chance at getting a Capri Sun in there than any other type of drink that would come in a bottle.

O.K., THIS TIME NEXT WEEK the timandlesley crew will be eating breakfast at Boma for the first time (YUM)
Then we will be headed to Epcot for a morning of fun.
We'll DEFINITELy be Soarin:

And have fun in the living seas area:
DSC01305Small.jpg

We'll probably trick Luke into drinking the Beverly again : )
DSC01755Small.jpg

We'll have lunch with a little mouse at Chef's De France (can't wait)!

Then after a morning of fun we'll head back to freshen up for our night out.
This evening we'll head out to the Magic Kingdom for dinner at the Plaza (I can't believe we have a WHOLE DAY of new dining experiences this day for each meal, YEAH!)
Wonderful castle at night:
DSC01379Small.jpg

Then it will be time to see Spectro and Wishes, AHHHHHHHHH

I can't wait UNTIL THIS TIME NEXT WEEK!!!!

Question for you guys, remember, we'll be heading to Hollywood studios on Father's Day around dinner time, this will be our first time in the parks with our Annual Pass vouchers, can we just exchange those at the Hollywood Studio's customer service counter????:confused3:confused3
HELP!
Thanks!
Lesley

Thanks for the great welcome back!!

I’ve read a large chunk more and more comments of course…

How cute was the Mother’s Day tea you had with Lauren, and the graduation looked like so much fun for her!

And looooved the butterfly pics! I would love to see something like that. That building looks a lot like the background in the picture of Lauren in your avatar.

LOVE the Mickey silhouette in the frame with Walt’s quote. That’s beautiful!

Bummer that Mickey ate your crocs! He must be mad that you’re not taking him to Disney.

Ugh…can’t believe you spent an hour in the grocery store, only to be told to leave afterwards.

LOVE the bedroom…nice furniture and decorations, everything came out beautifully.

Enjoyed a bit of your blog(several pages back) yesterday afternoon, you have a great style of writing (but I already knew that from here!)

I just love what you did with the packing organization. I think it’s a PERFECT plan!

Thanks for the b-day wishes, mine was great as well.

I’m loving the “this time next week” posts. I am so excited for you!

And by the way, I’m caught up! :goodvibes:

We exchanged ours at MK all the way over to the right side when you enter the ticket area. I don't know what that is officially called.

Looks like some good times ahead! :thumbsup2 I just went and read your blog, you must be superwoman, I don't know how you keep up everything you do! But I am glad you do because it is so entertaining to read. :) I agree 100% on your birthday thoughts... Your blog on the final day of school nearly brought me to tears. You seem like such a great teacher! :goodvibes

:woohoo: 4 days!! :cheer2:

Wow! Yay for all new dining experiences. :thumbsup2 We're going to try Boma for breakfast too--I'm anxious to see how your family likes it! :goodvibes You're going to be at DISNEY WORLD in just a few days!!!!:banana:

Yes, they'll exchange them there. In fact, that's exactly where we exchanged our vouchers last time.

Question for you guys, remember, we'll be heading to Hollywood studios on Father's Day around dinner time, this will be our first time in the parks with our Annual Pass vouchers, can we just exchange those at the Hollywood Studio's customer service counter????:confused3:confused3

Thanks!

Welcome back cherbear!!!! Where have you been??!?!?!!

Welcome back cherbear!!!! Where have you been??!?!?!!

Hey Jen! Heading over to your report now! :thumbsup2

I was...well, MIA for a while. We had major computer issues that we couldn't fix. I still don't know what went wrong but they are fixed now. Got really busy at work also. Also just needed a break I guess!

I've been back on the DIS for a few months but just found Lesley's report last week (silly me, I should have looked her up ages ago!) and now yours thankfully.
It's so good to be back!
