LESLEY, HELP!!!!! I am trying to pack. Our airline charges for bags So we have paid for 3 suitcases. We are each carrying on a bag and then Bryan has our laptop and I have my purse. Here is my problem, our suitcases are close to the weight capacity if not OVER! How many outfits did you guys bring each? I was thinking 12 each because of it being so HOT and that after swimming and showering in the afternoon we wouldn't want to put the same yucky clothes back on so that would mean after about 6-7 days we would almost be out of clothes and I would have to do laundry! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!

Did AKL last trip and Teppan Edo. Both were firsts and we LOVED them.
My kids have Teppan Edo as the favorite Disney restaurant now.

I decided to come out of lurking. I read your report last year and have been reading your pre-trip. I am from Ohio as well, the east side of Cincy. I am so envious of your 18 day trip. That sounds like a dream vacation!

We went to Disney last year over Thanksgiving and did MVMCP. It was a fabulous vacation. We stayed at WL.

I am trying to convice DH and DS7 to go over Halloween for the party. Keep your fingers crossed that I am successful.

I still haven't caught up yet, but I'm more than halfway through now.

But I finally read some more and see you are flying, not driving! hehe GREAT price on the flights, can’t beat that! And can’t believe you got such a great credit back when the price went down! Then I read further and see you got credited 2 more times! Wow!
oh this is new info for me. (and now we are thinking about going this year so as I read further I see I just have to ask for the extra tags. Not too bad then. )

Oh Wow Diane! That is so tough! Tim and I each have a bag, each kid has their own bag and then we have the other bag for food that we'll use to put souvies in for coming home. What will you do coming home if you buy stuff? Is there an extra carry on or two you could each bring? Don't you get 2 carry on's per person, so could each boy have a carry on?? We have a TON of clothes, enough for about 10-12 days so we plan on doing laundry one time, hopefully not more than that. Tim alone has 40 t shirts, CRAZY I know, but that's how many disney shirts he has and he WAY overpacks : ) Wish I could take a few bags for you.

It was a great one, thanks for the bday wishes. Yes, we have some stuff to do but are definitely close to being packed, YEAH!!! We use a cart at the airport, usually curbside check in for the bags, we don't carry it all, but we tip well ; )

I think with the weight restrictions, you'll need to plan on doing laundry half way through. Someone had a great idea on another thread, though - they said to pack a couple of pre-paid priority mail boxes flat with tape in your suitcase, then ship home your dirty laundry before you leave, and make room for souveniers. You could also ship yourself some things to the resort and then back home that way.

I CAN'T WAIT to experience the NEMO show for the very first time, can't wait can't wait can't wait can't wait!!!!!

We will enjoy a yummy lunch at Yak and Yeti:

And perhaps an alcoholic beverage to wash it all down ; )

After our wonderful AK morning we'll surely head back to AKL (since we're in such close proximity which will be glorious) for a swim. Then we will head out to Hollywood Studios for the evening.

We'll enjoy dinner at Mama Melrose and hopefully catch one of my favorite shows on property FANTASMIC.
Should be a WONDERFUL Disney day!!!

Pre Trip Progress: I've been stressing out over bills this morning, trying to get everything paid up for the entire time we're gone and worrying something will happen while we're gone, deep breaths, deep breaths : )
I ordered our water from Costco, I went with 2 cases. I think I am going to pack our little Mickey cooler (that I use for my lunch) and an ice pack to put under the stroller to hold water in, your thoughts?
Well, gotta run, Lauren is STILL sleeping and she has a swim lesson in 45 minutes!

I think the cooler is a good idea. I hate paying the outrageous prices for bottles of water there! My only worry would be running out of water, is 2 cases enough?

We love Nemo. We saw it for the first time last trip. We are trying Y &Y for the first time in October. Can't wait to read your review.

Happy Birthday a day late, Lesley! Just wanted to say how envious I am of your trip. I will be buying into DVC in Dec 2010 (only a yr and a half away!) and then will be able to make regular trips to the World. I've been 13 times, so it isn't like I don't go, I just don't go on a regular basis (last time was Dec 2007). Anyway, I'm just so ready to go back and I don't know when that will be - though I did get an email from Disney for AMAZING rates for Aug/Sept so will book, just in case - so I am really enjoying your PTR, though I wish I was a stow-away with your crew! Keep up the good work!!

I like your idea of using the stroller to tote your water. If we still used a stroller I would do this too.

I hope Lauren is up and feeling better. Maybe she's resting up for next week.

We have the same park plans as you for Tuesday. We'll be on the lookout! I don't think we'll hit Fantasmic unless it's the late show. We have WCC at 8. I'm putting off paying bills until Friday. Of course I only have to cover 8 nights of missed bills.
