Discovering DVC timandlesley style-A PTR, 19 days TRIP REPORT LINK PG.119!!!!!

Been there and done that with the credit cards too. It took a long time before I was willing to trust myself with that again. Like I said, I only charge when I already have the money to pay it when the bill comes. But I totally can relate!! But TC will work too. You will already know what you owe, so you can just get that amount and go ahead and get rid of them first thing when you arrive.

I'm late to the party but I'm really enjoying your PTR. We're going to be there for the first part of your trip. We're only staying for 8 nights. You lucky ducks getting to stay for 18 days, what a dream trip. We're also arriving on the 21st and flying Southwest. I just booked my flight 4/17 and so far they haven't gone down yet just up. Thanks to you I will keep checking to see if we can get a credit. This will be our first June trip so I'm looking forward to hearing more about what it will be like.

Lesley, I just HAD to come tell you this. B/F and I were at the grocery store and this worker walked by and I had to do a double look because he looked just like Tim!

Did he have a quiet sexiness about him?!? :rotfl2:

Tim

Lesley you should call your bank and ask them what is the limit for debits I think it is a lot because mine is 1,000 atm and 5,000 charges I usually deposit all of my cash the night before I leave and then pay for dining when I get in and also use the debit for my room charges. You can always ask your bank to up your limits.

Haha, Tim...I was wondering what you'd say to it. :rotfl: I'm serious though, he looked just like you. I almost made him talk to see if he sounded like you too since I've heard you on your ADR raps.

I do what you do with the CCs. I set aside the money or subtract it immediately after I charge the item. I use the Disney VISA and another rewards card. I use the other one most of all and am able to get a $50 gift card just about every 4 months or so!

It really will surprise you how fast it adds up! You would never think that it would accumulate that fast.

Hey Lesley and Tim!!!!!

I haven't checked in, in a while!!! I am bad disfriend!!!!:lmao:

First of all I think it's AWESOME that you've paid off all of your credit cards and aren't getting another one!! :thumbsup2 We've had a "no credit card" policy, but we're going to use one just to pay for the dining plan and then come home and pay it with the money we've already set aside. We know we're not going to be able to buy a house without some credit :) But it's awesome that yall are sticking with it!!! :thumbsup2 Good luck on Kidani becoming available!!! :cheer2:

Hey Tim and Lesley!!! It has been a long time---I having been MIA for too long!!! TOO much going on here to even begin discussing it all, but now all caught up with the PTR!!! Your trip looked amazing, although the alligators gave me the creeps a little, the countdown calendar is awesome, and I am so excited that the two of you walked on to Diamondback---how cool is that!?!??!?!!?

We also got KI passes this year---have been there the past two Saturdays already, but have not made it on to Diamondback yet...still working up the nerve for some reason!!! Maybe we will run into each other some time!!! I am really looking forward to the waterpark this summer!

Could you put the cash for your dining on a Disney gift card and then use that when you check in to pay for it??? Just wondering!!!

Megan has two Cinderella costumes, so I would be more than happy to loan one out for Lauren if you would like....they are probably around the same size. Let me know!!!

Hey guys, thanks for all of the helpful ideas/tips. I should have prefaced it with Tim and I have paid off our credit cards and are trying REALLY hard not to get any new ones, so although Disney Visa is tempting I don't want to go there : )
After a lot of thought and research I think I'm gonna stick to the travelers checks, I HATE to do that, but that way they will be insured if they get lost or stolen. I SO wish there was a way to pay for the dining plan before we arrived like everyone else, Disney would have nothing to loose in this deal, they are getting our money, just doesn't make sense.
Kidani waitlist hasn't gone through, I'm obsessed and check all of the time. ;)
I hope each of you are having a good week, busy and stressful day for me at work today so I'm gonna go grab a glass of wine and relax:thumbsup2
Lesley

AMEX now makes a Traveler's check card, so you can put the cash on that and it's insured, too.

That's awesome!
Do you know if it is re-fillable so that you can continue adding to it instead of having to get a new one? Where and how do you fill the card?

HI guys!!! I looked up the info and can't find an American Express Travelers Check Card, it looks like they did away with them.
What I think I may do is call my bank and see if they can do a one time increase on the amount I can charge per day so that I can just put the money in our checking account and use our check card. If they can't do that we'll just do traditional travelers checks.

Hey, guess what!!!???!!! We booked a 4 night Disney trip using points yesterday, Tim doesn't want me to reveal when yet so stay tuned, we'll be going to Disney 3 times this year I am SO EXCITED:banana::cool1: Gotta love Disney Vacation Club.
Well, I hope you guys have wonderful weekends, I'm headed to the wet soccer fields for Laurens game and still waiting to see if Luke's baseball game is on or not.

NICE CLIFFHANGER!!! Thanks Tim!:rolleyes1:rotfl:

I just booked our spring trip for 2010 yesterday too, I agree, gotta love DVC AND getting your monies worth out of those AP's!!:thumbsup2

You are VERY lucky to have a husband that will go with you to Disney that often.:worship: I have a great husband, but he doesn't even want to go once a year. He says we will get tired of it.:confused3 I won't, but I guess he would. He HATES the 10 hour drive also.:scared1: And I do too, but I love Disney so much that I think I would start flying if he'd go back with me. I just wish he loved it like Tim does. And I don't get it b/c our husbands are SOOOO similar. Mine is a crazy goofball that is always doing something to entertain everyone also (of'course I mean all that in a good way:love:). You'd think he would be like a kid in a candy store at Disney. What's your secret???????????

Been away for a while, I've got some catching up to do. Just realized the trip is coming fast. I can imagine how exciting it's getting at your house.
Can't wait to read along.:)
