Discovering DVC timandlesley style-A PTR, 19 days TRIP REPORT LINK PG.119!!!!!

Lesley... Here's a neighborly, hope-things-improve-for-you hug!!

I cannot believe Coral Reef is pulling this service. It was the MAIN reason we even ate there. I'm so disappointed, and, like you said, right when they are starting a year devoted to celebrations. I guess we won't be celebrating anything at Coral Reef this year. I'll find somewhere else.. so there!!

Do you ever listen to the DisUnplugged podcast? They often go off about 'customer hostile' moves that Disney makes. I'd consider this one of them. I wonder if they'll have a little rant about it. They always make me laugh!

Sending good wishes your way. At least your Disney MoJo is still intact! <<Knock wood>>

AKL concierge! :cheer2: We love AKL! I'm so glad you got it! I hope the ADR system is up in two weeks - we still don't have ressies for March:scared1: Their system has been down due to an upgrade. It is really frustrating because you are never sure when it will open up again.

Thanks for your kind words about my dad. He seems to be improving a little every day - we are thankful it wasn't a really bad stroke.

Well a few things to cover tonight:

1). Happy to report that Tim and Luke are feeling better:thumbsup2 , our shower is in and we were able to shower last night. He came today to mud and drywall and will return in the morning to finish the mudding and painting, YEAH!!!! The thing that STUNK was we woke up to NO POWER this morning:scared1: , I couldn't believe it and definitely had a "woe is me moment". I had to pack a bag in the dark via candlelight and go to the gym to get ready for work. I couldn't believe it.:sad2:

2). We get to book our couples only trip in the morning, Soooooooooo excited about that.:cool1: :yay:

3). Tim and I watched a travel channel show on Disney this week and were so excited about it and at the end they mentioned upcoming Disney parks. It heightened our interest and we googled it and came up with this, PRETTY AMAZING!!! I sure hope it's true, what do you think::confused3

Can't wait to hear your responses! popcorn:: Wish us luck in the morning, hoping for AKL concierge for those 2 nights.

Lesley

Just went to that site. It looks amazing, but will probably never be affordable to a lot of people.

Price would be ok if that was $300 per family, then it would not be bad. But $300 per person, that outrageous..

But I guess if you were only gooing to do that and not hit the parks, it would be doable.

But parks and that, too much money :scared1:

Sorry to hear about Tim's knee. Hopefully it gets better soon:goodvibes

Score on AKL Concierge :woohoo:

Sorry to hear that Tim hurt his knee.

AKL concierge is so cool! Are you going to book the sunrise safari?

Yeah! I came on here to check to see if you got AK-C! I'm so excited for you two.

That sucks about Tim's knee. I hope that he doesn't have to have surgery. I'll be thinking about you guys.

That does suck about Coral Reef. I was going to do the diver for our October trip because our DD will finally understand it...guess not know. :(

Sorry to hear about Tim's knee. I hope that he heals quickly. And the bathroom thing totally stinks. Merry Christmas kids!!! You get to take a bath now!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Well, I get to call and make dining plans in two weeks, so I'm looking forward to that. I'll post my updated dining hopes list here soon.

Lesley, I have a discouraging FYI for you about this in case you don't know. With the system upgrade, you can't book any ADRs beyond March 22 right now (except for Chef Mickey's, Victoria and Albert's, and Cinderella's Royal Table, which remain available for booking 180 days out). The upgrade was supposed to be done in October but has been pushed back again and again and again... We are currently being told they'll extend the window December 22, but that seems doubtful for a variety of reasons. Check this thread on the dining board for the most current information (which is always in the first post of the thread). One of the dining CMs has been keeping us updated. Sorry to say, but it's doubtful at this point you'll get to book your ADRs in two weeks. :sad2:

Hey Lesley! Congrats on the AKV concierge:cool1: I am so happy for you and Tim! Sorry to hear about Tim's knee...that is so awful! We will say a prayer for him! I hope things start to look up for your family soon!:thumbsup2

Hey Lesley---Congrats on the AKL Concierge booking--so excited for you guys!!!! Sorry to hear about Tim though!!! Hope it heals quickly!

Oh, Lesley, big hugs :grouphug: for all of you! What a rough time. And poor Tim and his knee - I hope the rest and ice do the trick for him. I hope things start looking up FAST!!

That new possibility for Pleasure Island is intriguing, and when you think about the cost of a gourmet meal, and a premier theater experience, plus all the other options, $250-300 is not so far away. You just usually don't do all these things on the same night! I bet it will be a perk on some of the packages though, and cost less that way. I think it will be a bigger attraction for couples and singles than family groups at that price. However, there are lots of people with lots of money who seem eager to hand it over to Disney, so it will probably be madly successful!

Good-o on the ressies at AKL - at least that was ONE piece of good news! :goodvibes

I'm so glad I found your PTR!!! I am so envious of the DVC purchase! Maybe some day we'll go for it.

16 days - wow! Fun for you guys - and your readers!

How exciting about the Nov. trip! You are going to have so much fun. We leave in 3 days for our first ever "us" only/3 year anniversary trip! We don't have kids yet, but we've never been without other family members.

Can't wait for more - hope everyone is well/uninjured soon!

Thanks so much, I need all the hugs I can get right now, I'll explain in a minute. I know, doesn't that STINK about Coral Reef, it makes no sense whatsoever especially with the year of celebrations. I've listened to a few podcasts, they are funny!
Lesley

Lesley

Sorry to hear that Tim hurt his knee.

AKL concierge is so cool! Are you going to book the sunrise safari?
I don't know if we will since we only have 2 days in the parks we'll probably save that for another time, we'll see.

Yeah! I came on here to check to see if you got AK-C! I'm so excited for you two.

Thanks for checking, we're excited too. Well, he does need surgery, I'll update soon.

Thanks for the hugs, I appreciate it. That pleasure island thing is intriguing isn't it. I think if you take all those things into account it will be worth the money, at least once.

Well............. Tim does have to have surgery. He has a torn miniscus or ACL for sure so we find out more on Friday after we get MRI results back. Please pray for him and his recovery and for me in my insanity of working 2 jobs, arranging child care for Lauren and care for Tim and keeping our household running, especially during these crazy busy holiday times!
Lesley

These things are stressful anytime, but especially during the holidays. My hubby had the ACL surgery a few years ago. He has a pretty speedy recovery from it. I know you're waiting to know more, but just wanted to send my prayers.

Oh sending prayers and hugs for you Lesley! :grouphug: Y'all are going thru a rough patch right now, but you have TWO Disney trips to look forward to, so hopefully that will help pull you through.

Sending prayers your way, Lesley! Heres to a speedy recovery for Tim (and for you!)

hoping for a speedy recovery....
