Discovering DVC timandlesley style-A PTR, 19 days TRIP REPORT LINK PG.119!!!!!

Woo hoo, you are going to love the Animal Kingdom Lodge! Yay for single digitis!

Lesley, sorry I’ve been MIA for so long. Yesterday afternoon it occurred to me that I haven’t read anything from TimandLesley in quite some time. Then I thought  “OMG, they are going THIS MONTH!” (remembered you always go in June) so I raced to find your report, and here I am!

I am SO glad that little Mickey healed up well after his accident. He’s SO cute! I’m sure I’ll see more updated pictures once I get farther into the PTR.
I just finished reading about the “Amazing Race” Tim set up for the 3 of you, and I HAD to comment on what an AMAZING guy he is! You are very lucky to have him. That sounded like a blast! I also just read where you booked the latter half of your trip. :thumbsup2

I always enjoy reading how your planning comes together for a WDW trip, and am excited as ever to finish reading this PTR…and of course SUPER THRILLED that I will be reading your TR for the awesome 16 day WDW trip so SOON!
And then of course, your November trip as well. I think it will be wonderful for you and Tim to have a trip together without the kids. Very romantic.

Expect quite a few posts from me in the coming days. I have a lot of reading to do! :goodvibes:

Doing the single digit dance with you!!!:cool1::dance3::yay::woohoo::cheer2:

Sorry I haven't checked in in a while because serious LTO!! I'm so glad I didn't miss sending you off! Y'all are going to have a fabulous time, and we are going to have a fabulous time reading about it when you get back! :surfweb::goodvibes

:dance3: FABULOUS :dance3: -- y'all will have such a great time! Hoping for lots of pixiedust:on your vacation.

So............ I was literally almost CONVINCED to add on 50 points at Bay Lake Towers and take the DVC plunge tonight when literally this all happened within an hour of eachother tonight:

1). Tim told me he was on deaths door and has the flu and went to bed:guilty:

2). Lauren was in the tub and she is crying saying her elbow was cut on a hole in the tub............ a WHAT, a hole in the tub, are you serious??? I went in and sure enough WHO KNOWS HOW IT GOT THERE but there is a half dollar sized dent/hole in the bottom of the tub. I run downstairs and the ceiling of the stairwell and the entry way to our house is soaking and leaking and it sounds like it is raining above me, ARE YOU KIDDING!?!?! :confused3 Longstory short we had a bathtub full of water in our ceiling, had to cut a hole into it and the water is draining into a cooler. I have a handy man coming at 7:30 a.m. to fix it and you know that is going to cost BIG BUCKS to replace the tub, ceiling, drywall, etc. AUGH!!!! :scared1: :scared:

THEN..................
3). Luke comes in complaining his throat is hurting (I have been sick for 2 weeks with strep and Luke gets is often). I knew he was coming down with strep. LITERALLY as the cooler is gathering water from our ceiling and we are assessing the damage I had to leave to take Luke to urgent care, HE DOES have strep and now we're home with an antibiotic. I have to call off work AGAIN tomorrow and obviously DVC Bay Lake Tower wasn't meant to be. If the Lord didn't want me to buy it couldn't he have taken an easier approach into telling me:confused3

So............. that's my night in a nutshell, great huh! Gee I hope tomorrow is a better day

Lesley

Wow, I just couldn't believe my eyes when I read this. And was SO glad when everything worked out!

I hope each of you are having a great weekend!
My great news is that I was able to get a reservation for me and Tim for next November at AKL Concierge for two nights. I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THAT!!!:cool1: The lady on the phone was funny. She said "This is the first time I've been able to book one of these, you called early, that was smart, I'm always telling people "no" for these rooms. "
Lucky us!!!!!:yay:

On the bad news note. Tim has still been working out like crazy and looks so good, he has lost so much weight. (he even lost 2 pounds the week of THANKSGIVIGN!!!:confused3 ). Anyway, he played basketball and did the eliptical machine on Friday and his knee was hurting him. Yesterday he was limping and couldn't bear weight on it and it was swollen so I convinced him to go to urgent care. They did an x ray and told him he has a bone burr on his knee. He has to stay off of his leg using crutches and a knee brace and ice every 30 min. for 3 days and go to an orthopedic specialist and physical therapy. I am praying that will take care of it and we aren't looking at surgery. I am sooooooooo out of sick time at work. I am going to have to take Lauren to work with me on Monday - it's either that or call in sick so I have to take her.
Pray for Tim for a speedy recovery and for his leg to heal. Honestly, how much more can our family take!?!?!
Our bathroom is fixed, YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1: So that is good news.

Well, I get to call and make dining plans in two weeks, so I'm looking forward to that. I'll post my updated dining hopes list here soon.
DOESN'T IT STINK THAT CORAL REEF ISN'T DOING THE DIVERS/MENU'S ANYMORE!!! I DON'T GET IT, IT'S THE YEAR OF CELEBRATIONS PROMOTION AND NO CELEBRATION LIKE THAT:confused3 HUGE BUMMER!
Well, gotta go get the kids ready for church.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Lesley

wow, good news, and then more bad news. Shocked me again!

I'm sure Tim's knee is healed up by now and he's rarin' to go but I haven't read that far yet.

Question though...was there a mass on his knee at all? My DH has some sort of growth under his knee and it's been bothering him for a while. He had X-rays a couple of weeks ago and we still haven't heard back from the doctor. He called them the other day, and still no call back :confused3

O.K. guys, get ready to have your world rocked! My DVC guide Derek sent this to me today and my mouth hit the floor.
I am posting the link to the creation of it, send one to yourself and CHECK IT OUT!!! It's AMAZING. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

DRIVE TO ORLANDO INSTEAD OF FLY!!!!!
We decided, 16 days in Orlando we would want our car, plus to cost savings is a win win:thumbsup2
Tim (in usual Tim style) decided he wanted to announce this on our Dis thread by creating a slideshow (hence the "shut up and drive" song). I have TRIED AND TRIED to post this to photobucket tonight but it is too big (HUGE BUMMER), so we posted on youtube,

O.K., edited today: looks like they deleted the audio on Youtube, check it out on my blog instead:

Glad you enjoyed these parts of the PTR, yes, it has been a VERY stressful year at time, we're ready for some Disney magic. Tim did have a bone spur behind one of his knees that they removed. Yes, it was a very slow recovery but he's back to normal now !

Great Job Lauren

Lesley,
Your bedroom looks so nice, just like those redecorating shows on TV. I love the colors, and the furniture is beautiful. We all have been in the same situation, just use whatever furniture we have so that we can save money. But you really will enjoy your sanctuary, and it is easier to keep clean because of how nice it looks. ;)
One more week, these are for the kids:banana::banana::cool1::cool1::yay::yay:, and you and tim too:woohoo::woohoo:. Have a great weekend.

Packing day...that is so cute how excited Lauren is about it. Your bedroom looks beautiful. Santuary is the perfect word for it. Good luck with the packing :goodvibes

I love your new bedroom furniture. It is beautiful. I can't believe that your trip is so close already. :cool1::cool1::cool1:
