Discover Disney Packages?

Hi there

I am usually on the DCL boards, but tonight on TV saw the above advertised. We have only been to WDW once two years ago and the dollar rate was two to the pound, so everything was good value and I haven't really done any research or had any experience of prices since.

Have any of you 'experienced' Disers looked into the prices and what have you found?

I had a quick look, but they are only giving prices for a family of four and we are a three, but I would be interested to know how in your opinion the prices compare before I give them a ring.

Also we would need to go at the end of August just before school starts again, would it be really busy? (I know the US Kids will have gone back by then) and is it very hot?

we went at the end of august/beginning of september in 2009 and loved it we queued for *nothing* (apart from at universal ) and the weather was muched cooler than june and july...probably helped by the few thunderstorms we had somewhat

can't help you regarding the disney packages unfortunately, i've only ever been through disney

Hi Kate.
August is an expensive time of year, packages usually the most expensive way to go.
If staying onsite many of us book direct with Disney.co.uk for the hotel & tickets as you get free dining with moderates(Quick service dining) or Deluxe (regular dining)
We then book flights seperate.

Best thing to do is put together what you want:
Suitable UK airports
Hotels you would consider
Do you want car?
Size of car?

Get a few prices and post here best of what you get, then we can tell you if there are any better options around.

Thanks for that advice.

I will have a look at some prices. We have a lot of airmiles we need to use up, so perhaps we could add those to it.

Will post my findings when I have done some research.
