Does anyone have any inside info on whether Disney will do its usual Florida resident discount 3/4 day ticket going on sale about now through June? (Last year it was called Discover Disney and was $139 for three days).

We've used it the last few years to visit over MLK weekend and hope to again but so far I haven't seen anything. Thanks!

Not allowed to say yes or no with regard to Discover Disney at this point, but keep your eyes and ears open in the next few days. I don't know the specifics, just that stuff is happening.

The only time us in the Florida panhandle with kids can go is when school is out. Last year we could use these tickets to go to all the parks but Magic Kingdom. It was the only park blacked out for the week before and after Easter. I dont expect that that will change due to the fact that it is the only really complete park at this time.

I think I'm allowed to say now that they're just promoting the regular FL resident tickets more heavily. The "stuff" that's happening (which I didn't know as of my last post) is just new promotional materials featuring Star Wars, and a name change to "Florida Resident Select Tickets" for the 3 and 4 day.

Thanks for the info. That's a bummer. It's $200 more than last year for my family of four. And we weren't going to go this year but relatives are coming so we decided to go with them.

Just to clarify.. no Discover Disney 3-day tickets for Florida residents or 4 day Wild for Disney passes this winter and spring? Only the regular Florida Resident Select 3 or 4 day tickets?

So sad if it's true. We took advantage of this deal that for the last, I don't know how many, years. It was a great motivation to go every year. We'll re-evaluate and see if we skip a year or consider the Florida Resident Seasonal Pass.

Wow, $189 pp with longer blackouts for the 3 day ticket now? In 2010 they were $99 for a 4 day pass - and way smaller blackout periods. Guess the economy is getting better....

I have to say, I would have bet money on them having the discover Disney tickets this year. I figured that with the price hikes for APs they would have kept these for at least another year to appease th Florida residents that they priced out of APs.

Yeah I was definitely thinking they'd have these this year too, what a disappointment. The regular 3/4 day tickets have way too many blockout dates I think. Once we're through with our no expiration passes I don't know what we'll do

I just spoke to a cast member on the chat on the wdw website, she confirmed they are not offering it this year, that they have different ticket options, which really means they are a lot more $$, SO disappointed! We go like 3-4 times a year and were just there and we HAVE to go next month because we have family coming from Spain and we are on a very tight budget..Sucks!

Even if they come later this year, it won't do me any good. We're going MLK weekend with visiting family, so that's when I need a ticket. The longer I wait to buy, the fewer Fast Pass options we'll have so I might take the (more expensive) plunge tomorrow. Sigh. Thanks to those who posted their info.

Yep. 3 day is $201.29 with tax, 4 day is $222.59 with tax, same as it's been for a while. This is the new promo material (I nabbed the military one too so I could memorize the new prices, thanks go to the DAK ticketing CMs I bothered this morning before going into the park as a guest, lol):

I was just on the Disneyworld.com website to check prices on the FL resident tickets and a chat window popped up, so I thought I'd ask about it. The CM said there was a "new offer" and I should call 407-560-CHAT to find out what it is. Don't have time right now, but I might try it later.

Booooo! I specifically planned our trip for the beginning of February in order to take advantage of the seemingly consistent Florida resident offer. I also passed on upgrading our 1-day Epcot ticket to a 4-day ticket earlier in December when we visited for Candlelight, pressing my luck that they would release the offer as usual. Hoping there are at least some good Fastpass options left! :)::MickeyMo

Did you have a chance to call? I wonder what the new offer could be?

There is a new screen on the WDW website that has a Stormtrooper that says

"Florida Residents, Enjoy 4 days Ticket Special Offer"

But when you click on it, it just leads to the same old Florida Resident Tickets.

This screen was not there yesterday, so dare I think that there may in fact be something coming?

I think that ties in to the Star Wars ad above with Chewbacca. They renamed the 3 and 4 day tickets to Florida "Select" tickets but no price difference. Also the Florida page now shows the 3 day and 4 day as separate items when before they were both under the same heading as 3 or 4 day tickets. The Discover Disney (or whatever name they have that year) have almost always started the first Monday after new year - so today. I suppose there may be something in a few days but I wouldn't hold out much hope. I got two regular kids tickets today which is what I need for my MLK weekend trip. If something comes up, I'll get the cheaper ones and save the more expensive ones for a later trip not on the January-May time frame.
