Discounts?

We just bought points yesterday for the first time at SSR, so we have a lot of questions! Do you get discounts on park tickets (just tickets not APs) and the Dining Plan? We are considering the Premium Plan for our upcoming trip. Could we get a discount on that or is it just for QSDP, DDP, and DeluxeDP? TIA!

No discounts on regular theme park tickets.

No DDP discounts, however DVC members do not have to purchase park tickets to be able to purchase the dining plan, like a cash guest does.

I don't think you can do the premium plan on DVC if that's the one that includes spa, special events. etc. You can do dining only (any of the three plans) with DVC. And no discount.

Are you saying you are now a DVC Member, or that you have rented points for a SSR stay from a DVC Member? If you are the member then you can add the dining plans via Member Services. You must do this at least 48 hours prior to your arrival date.

If you are not the DVC Member, then you will have to ask your owner to do this for you. Some may not do it as the Dining Plan must be paid for in advance with MS over the phone. It will be up to the owner if they want to do it for you or not.

Only the Quick Service, Standard, and Deluxe dining plans are available for DVC Member stays. That may change when the plans are renegotiated for DVC, but they are not available for 2010.

As far as booking, if you purchased directly through Disney, you should be able to book right away. But being as you purchased on a weekend, you may not be in the system, yet. Call Member Services to see if you are in the system and ready for booking.

Are you sure the CM didn't think you were talking abut the Deluxe Dining Plan? Since member services does not book the cash packages, the person you spoke with may not know the difference. So far, none of the plans that include activities have been made available to DVC.
