Discounts?

I think I saw somewhere around here where someone said when calling WDW to make resort reservations to ask if there were any discounts attached to your name (from previous trips I assume)...I don't remember where or when I saw this for sure, but I was wondering if anyone knows if this is true. Has it ever worked for anyone?

If they send you a PIN for a discount it will be attached to your name. Sometimes people do not get them (mail got lost or e-mail did not make it through) so it never hurts to ask. Some people here say that they have had this happen to them.

I tried last week, no luck. CM said there were no pin codes attached to my name and she didn't think there were any out there right now. Who really knows though!

fyi make sure they check any names that might be associated with that phone number/address. I remember someone saying something about this last year...something in her moms name and she was able to use it somehow. Anyway I asked today and the man did tell me that it would be possible even with 5 adults (i made all the ressies/deposits for the families trip last year and i just let them use my info for everyone so that i'd get all the travel docs) listed with my same address/phone number for only one/any one of the names to have a discount associated. So he checked them all. However since no one had a discount we didnt get to the point of how/if I'd be able to use it.
