discounts on weekend rates

I am going to try to link a weekend cash reservation with a point reservation sunday-thursday

when i can 407-wdisney
should i ask for the following?

annual pass
teacher discount
triple AAA

what else??

Call Member services if you are adding a weekend cash night to an already existing DVC resort ressie. They will link the ressie so hopefully you won't have to move if it is for the same size accomidations.

We have done this on a week's notice and received the 25% member discount and we have done this on 10 months notice and still received the 25% discount. MS tells you the discount can be up to 25% off rack rate plus 11% taxes for Orlando DVC resorts.

They will only truly link reservations made through MS. Through CRO, they will not actually link them and you MIGHT have to change units. I'd say that's a good time to try other non DVC resorts by moving for the weekend.

It never hurts to ask, but I don't think the WDW resorts offer a AAA or teacher discount (I think that Swan/Dolphin does). WDW resorts offer travel packages through AAA but I don't think they have individual room discounts. I would first try for the Member Discount through MS.

WDW resorts do offer AAA room only, the percentage off is the same as Disney Club. Usually 10%-15% at deluxe resorts. You can call direct to CRO or go through AAA's website.

we use our dvc sunday thru thursday and use AAA at the non dvc resorts for the weekends, unless we get a better discount through dvc at the dvc resorts.
