Discounts on Universal Passes

I am the one who posted this UK rate originally but it was in January 2007 and may not be available for the summer busy season. There was no special trick it came up with my requeat to buy tickets.

I have a question.

I have an annual pass and I want to buy tickets for my parents for our trip. My question is...Do I have to wait until I get to the park to buy the tickets to use my discount or can I get the discount and save more by ordering it online or in advance?

Or would the $86 tix deal be the best deal? All of this is hurting my head. LOL

Thanks in advance.

did you check the ap website for cost of tickets?
the site went back up yesterday.

you might come out ahead if you go with the 7 day promo depending on how many days you plan to be at the parks.

the 50% off tickets for ap holders expired june 15th.
you could buy up to 6 tickets for that.

not sure what the amount you save now for day tickets.

the promo sale of buy an annual pass and get it for 2 years expires on july 8th

I Just Went In The Official Website And I Hit International And Pick The German Site, You Can Still Get The Kids Free Deal Till Jun 30. However, It Also Say It's For Uk Citizen Only. Only One Has Used This Deal And Do You Have Any Problem Redeeming You Ticket At The Booth?? It's A Great Deal But Want To Know If It Is Very Risky Or No One Actually Cares Where You're From?

If I buy the $86 deal & save them until 2010 so we can go to the Harry Potter theme park w/in Islands of Adventure . . . .

How can I be sure they won't charge an extra fee for the HP park or that the never expires $86 deal won't create some restriction from using it for the HP park?

Universal experts please help the WDW person decide what to do???

Thanks! :flower3:

Harry Potter is not gettings its own park. It will be a part of Islands Of Adventure. If the $86 deal is being offered now w/ no expiration date on the ticket it will be good for when you decide to visit. I would buy the tickets.

I used a free UK childs ticket and bought a Florida Resident 2 year AP. I live in NC (which some of you may call a foreign country....;) ) and I had no problem with using either one. We were there in June 2007.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

If you Have AAA you can get the 85.99 + tax 7 day pass that they're online for 85.00 total,at your AAA office. Savings of about 7.50 a ticket, every liitle bit helps.:thumbsup2

Do you know if this deal will end soon? I've been spending a lot of money lately and was going to wait to buy the Universal passes, but this does sound like a great deal. We're planning to visit in February.

i strongly suggest you buy them now.

you never know when a promo will be yanked from the system.

I know this is several months old but I see that online AAA still has it at $85.00 + tax. So does the above mean that if I actually go to the AAA office it will cost $85.00 with tax already included but online it's showing $5.54 tax per ticket?

I understand AAA has a discount, but how much does Universal raise it's rates every year?

I don't plan on using these passes until probably 2011.

I bought WDW no expiration park hoppers years ago during a special promo that I threw in the safety box & now 5-6 yrs later. Prices have gone up. I'm using them for a long weekend trip that I hadn't planned on making. It was great to have them squirreled away. Now I won't buy a WDW AP until next summer & use it for both 2008 & 2009.

Stretchhhhh those $$.

I think I'm going to buy those Universal Passes & hope for the same best. :thumbsup2

still have a ticket for universal that i received in 1994, never used it.

i had it scanned to make sure it was still valid.

it is.

if my ticket is still good, the passes if bought now and never used, woulld be also

Thanks Macraven! :flower3:

Now I'll just have to hope your still around in 2010 or 2011 when I start planning b/c I know very little about Universal. We may rent out most of our DVC points that year & use the $$ to stay at Universal & then spend a few days at the end at WDW.

I'm going to Orlando in September and I've been looking everywhere for discount tickets to Universal and haven't had too much luck. We would just be going for one day, so I'm looking for two 1-day/2-park passes. I do have connections to people who live in Florida who would be able to get Florida resident tickets and send them to me, but I'm concerned that they will ask for an ID upon entering the parks. Does anyone know if that is the case?

Also, a friend of mine told me something about a new fingerprint system that they have for Florida residents, making it pretty much impossible to get in if you're not a resident, but she is known to make things up and blow things out of proportion, sooo I don't exactly know when to believe her haha. If someone could help me out that would be great! Seeing as I'm only 18 I don't exactly have too much money to experiment with! :upsidedow

Hi all,

Are the 2-Park Unlimited Admission* Ticket for $85.99 unexpiry. I was looking to go next year in July 2008. Would these still be usable? When do they expire?? Also as these tickets are electronic pickup must I use a credit card? As I have only got a VISA debit card. Do you know if this will work?

Thanks for any help!

how kewl that you chose to make your first post on the dis here.

the passes are non expiring.
buy them now, use them next year.

you can do electronic pick up for free at the park.
it doesn't matter how long ago you purchase them, your order will be in the system.

don't remember which credit cards UO takes.
if you to to the online UO store, you can see which cards are acceptable for UO

Thank you for the quick reply!!

I want to save as much money as possible so I think it will be a good idea buying the tickets online now. My only real concern is can you use a debit VISA card to purchase the tickets?? Can any of you fellow members help me with this one??

Lastly, I've also read that many people prefer purchasing their tickets at a local wal-mart. I'm planning to go early July and would like to know if this may be a cheaper option?

Thanks Again!!
