Okay...I'm really confused. I know you DISer's are great at knowing the ins and outs...so I am coming here, first :thumbsup2 .

Let me begin by explaining...we have a trip planned from 6/2 through 6/15 this year :woohoo: . We've already purchased points through a DVC member, and am extremely happy with our accommodations (price and location!!). We're planning on purchasing the dining plan, which we will pay for upon arrival.

My question...are there any other discounts on hoppers? I know that the current deal that I saw upgrades hoppers, but can you do this if you are renting through DVC points? Do you know the best/cheapest way that we can get our hoppers? thanks so much!!!

I have a question for you. If you had to compare what you got for your points instead of booking your trip using regular? If you can understand my question thanks for the reply. This will help me understand the points- DVC thing. Thanks.

If I understand your question correctly, the answer is that we have a studio at OKW (which comes with a kitchenette area) for $100/night for most nights. Weekends are a little more pricey, as they are more points. We had looked at booking at CBR, but even with a room discount, this seemed like a better deal. Also, the taxes are included in this amt.

I'm trying to keep in mind tha tthis is where I have saved the $$, and just be done with it. I am just trying to find out the best deal on hoppers. I am not sure that it's going to be that significant of a discount...but thought it was worth throwing out!! I'm not going to fret...but I also don't want to miss out if there is something significant...like an upgrade on a hopper if you use a certain code. Don't know that it ever happens, but want to check.

let me know if that isn't your question!!! thanks

The best deal you'll likely get on tickets will be to purchase through a reliable third party broker. I'd recommend TicketMania.com

Thanks for the info. I need to crunch the #'s to see if the DVC thing works for me. I thought the DVC people could get AP's at a discount? You may want to look into that.

You have to be a DVC member to get a discount on AP's. Renters can not..sorry

Not sure if this works the same with DVC renters, but if it is the same as for resort guests I do not think you will be able to ad the dining plan upon arrival. I noticed you said you were planning to do this in your first post, but I believe it must be purchased in advance and since you are renting points from someone, that same person must book the DDP for you. Like I said, not 100% sure but youmight want to check on it. I would hate for you to think you were getting the plan and then not be able to add it at check in.

Currently, DVC members staying on points at DVC resorts do not have to purchase their tickets through Disney to purchase the DDP.

I am a DVC member with a discounted annual pass but preior to joining DVC,and even after when purchasing tickets for guests, I ONLY use TicketMania. Wonderful service, no shipping costs, and the best prices around.

Another vote for Ticketmania, we have used them for our last 2 trips the serviceis great and prompt. The first time I used them I was nervous but they answered every question I had promptly and delivered the tickets within days of purchase.

We used undercovertourist for our last trip. Excellent service. Good discount. Subscribe to the mousesavers.com newsletter and there's even more of a discount thru the newsletter link.

I am super leary of buying anything like that then there being a problem at the Disney gate. Can any body throw out a %age discount the have received off of whatever passes they bought. Thanks.

I am looking, and it seems like I can get the same price for tix from Disney online as I can through some of these companies. Is this right?

I am going to post another thread....bc/ I'm still trying to figure out which tix to purchase. TOO MANY DECISIONS!!!! I love the planning...yes, that is half the fun. But, my goodness!!! It sometimes gets overwhelming. I think I've just finally hit a wall.
