That is really cute. When is it out? The only thing that kind of ruins it for me is Tinkerbell! I am not a big Tink fan - or rather, I am just kind of indifferent - and I would rather it was just the Mickey lollipop head, because it reminds me of my magnet that I posted the picture of earlier!!! But I might still get it, even with Tink!

It seems a lot of pins are part of a series so maybe there will be other ones with different characters and different treats.

That's true. There could be all kinds of possibilities for the characters and Mickey food items. I am still trying to recall what the fourth magnet was in the series of the ones that I posted the pictures of earlier. It is driving me nuts trying to remember what the CM told me when I bought those three. She said there was a fourth one that was all gone, and it was either the Mickey Rice Krispies treats, or maybe a Mickey cookie, or maybe the Mickey pancake or waffle. It was busy in the Gag Factory when I bought those things, and I couldn't quite hear what the CM said, but she either said that the missing fourth magnet was either very popular and sold out without restocking it, or not too popular and they stopped stocking it altogether!

Ok, those are super cute!!!! I need to get them all, are they up now?

I have been gone from this thread for most of the day while doing some work at home and then posting a bunch o' pictures over on my Trip Report. I have had that trip report up for two months and I - just today - got around to putting pictures in at the beginning and the end. And I am STILL not done! So everyone come check it out (link in my signature below)!!!

Anyway, those pins are cute. I actually think I like the Tink and Jessica Rabbit pins the most because of the Mickey lollipop. But they are all adorable!

Ok Sherry now that you are back what fun things did you buy at DL? gingerbread or otherwise

I bought a few of the gingerbread mickey items: Xmas cards, a couple of ornaments and that cute cookie sheet magnet that you posted a pic of earlier!

Well, believe it or not, I didn't buy anything other than a few actual cookies!!!:rotfl: The Snowball didn't get me this time! It is funny how that works: when I went to DLR in October, I really had very little money with me to spend on anything other than meals. But I saw all kinds of things - Halloween-themed things and non-Halloween things - that I really wanted to get. I only ended up with a Halloween Mickey mug and a (non-Halloween t-shirt) because I couldn't buy anything else. So this past December trip on the 19th - 22nd, I had a little bit of money with me that I could have spent on souvenirs IF I had seen some things that jumped out at me - and I DIDN'T!!! I even saw the Sale signs in EVERY single shop I went into. Those Sale signs were everywhere, which was so weird to see because they were not that prevalent last year. I know they weren't. But I still didn't buy anything. I just didn't see anything that grabbed me like some stuff does. I think it also has partly to do with the fact that I wanted to know in advance what kinds of things were being sold at DLR this holiday season, so nothing would be a shock and make me feel like I had to get it right there on the spot! That tactic helped! I was surprised to see that the cookie sheet magnet was still being sold this year, as were the ornament in my avatar and the little gingerbread cookie picture frames and such form last year. And on sale, no less! I did NOT see the nifty cookie Castle ornament this time (though it is all over eBay), so I was glad I got that last year.

The only thing I was almost tempted to buy - and I may have caved in if I had been my myself in DLR for a little longer than I was - was another Castle ornament made to look like a cabin in the woods. Did you see that one, DizneyDogs? Again, it was like a mountain cabin version of the Sleeping Beauty Castle, and it had a little sign or tag on it that said "Our Little House in the Woods." It was really cool and I almost got it but didn't. Don't get me wrong - once I buy a thing or two, I can get on a roll and go crazy with the merchandise, no matter what season or time of year. So it is not like I couldn't find anything that I would want. I could literally probably find 10,000 things to buy if I really thoroughly looked in every store! It is just that I had prepared myself enough to expect what was there, and I didn't allow myself too much time to really study the merchandise and get into trouble. I just kind of quickly peeked in some stores and then left to prevent getting into trouble. But that "Little House in the Woods" ornament was really clever and cute, and I hope it is there again next holiday season!!! That was the only out-of-the-ordinary thing that came close to grabbing me!

I also thought that the Tinkerbell posing-with-the-peppermint-candy ornament series was a very cool theme, and there were several of them. In one, she was sitting on the candy. In another, she was holding a bubble with candies in it. You know how I love the food-related ornaments.:goodvibes Those were very cute, but I avoided temptation with a little bit of logic. I simply do not care that much about Tinkerbell, so I would basically be buying the ornaments just for the peppermint candy, and that seemed silly! Now, if it had been Mickey or Chip and Dale or Pooh sitting on the candy, then we would have had a problem!!!:lmao:

I don't remember seeing the castle cabin but that sounds really cute!!! I just did an ebay search for it is this it?

I did buy some of the Tink peppermint stuff since I am a tink fan - I got the tray and the candy dish.

One of my favorite purchases though was a heirloom box I got at Off the page it has the dwarfs and snow white carved all around the sides and then the lid has squirrels on the top it's made by Olszewski -
here's a picture I found of it

My other favorite item I got this trip was the castle that is clear plastic that has lights in the bottom of it and it lights up all different colors.

I think that Castle cabin is the same one. It looks slightly different in the picture, though. The one I held in my hand looked a bit more rustic than the one in the photo but I think they are essentially the same. Except in one of the stores I saw it being sold, there was a little tag on or near it that said "Our Little House In The Woods," so that is why I had "House" stuck in my mind. Maybe that was just how they coded it in that store or something (I think it was in the Sale section!). Anyway, it is cute, though, right? And kind of a clever take on the Castle after last year's nifty gingerbread Castle ornament!

You know what I wish? I wish DLR would do a Haunted Castle for the Halloween season! You know, they could deck out the Sleeping Beauty Castle in spooky decor and lighting and make it look creepy during the season. I know they won't do that, but it would be cool!

I wish they would do more stuff for halloween too - much like what toyko disneyland does - or even valentine's day like tokyo does as well they really go out for all the holidays there. Although DL did get some of the tokyo stuff I know in 2006 but you could only see it on the tram ride from the parking lot
