Discounts on Disney Packages?

I read somewhere (of course, now I can't remember where!) about discounts that Disney had offered over the past two years or so. Does anyone know where I can find that info?

On to my main question...
I think I remember seeing that during the last two years, Disney has offered discounts on packages in November. We are planning a trip for this November and I am wondering how this would work if they offer a package discount again this year. If I book now and then a discount is "announced" in June, can I still get the discount? Or do I have to wait until June to book? Is it crazy that I have not booked a room yet for the WL during the second week of November?

OK...that was a few questions! Sorry!

Thanks in advance!

You can find historical information about WDW discounts at Mousesavers.com - Historical Discounts. They go back as far as 2006.

If you book for November now and a discount for that time period comes out, you can always call to get your reservation changed over to the discounted price. If you book through a TA, it might not be as easy as booking the trip yourself. Not every TA is willing or able to change your reservation once it has been made.

The second week of November is commonly refered to as "Jersey Week" in WDW. All New Jersey public schools are closed for teacher conferences. A large number of Jersey-ites choose to take their children to WDW during that break in classes. WDW will not be booked solid, but if you have a strong preference for a resort and room type, you will want to make a reservation as soon as you are sure of your dates.
