We are driving down this weekend to spend a few days but only plan to go to Magic Kingdom on Sunday with the kids. I was curious if AAA or someone else offered any kinds of discounts. Typically, they seem to be for multi-day packages but was just curious.

I've never heard of one - but I'm curious to see if anyone knows of any (besides the off-site time share presentations)

I think that you will find that Disney doesn't discount the 1-day or 2-day MYW base ticket. You could call Undercover Tourist or other authorized Disney ticket seller, but I don't believe they are allowed to sell them. try www.undercovertourist.com Have a safe trip.

Single-day tickets are the most expensive way to see WDW. There simply aren't any big discounts offered. You could try AAA and Undercover Tourist but don't expect much.

If you do see any substantially discounted one-day tickets, be very very wary. It's most likely either a scam or someone trying to break the rules. There are ticket sellers out there who resell unused days on partially-used tickets. This is against Disney policy and you would very likely have those tickets confiscated and have to buy new ones at full gate price.

Disney does not sell any discounted one or two day tickets. Some of the discounters will carry one or two day tickets as a convenience, but they charge a premium over gate for the tickets. I even noticed on the Shades of Green site that SoG does charge a premium over gate (but, of course, no sales tax).

The walt disney pavillion of the florida childrens hospital offers tickets in exchange for a donation. http://www.fhfoundation.com/Disney/mainpage/mainpage.htm A single ticket for eighty five dollars is not that great a deal. But if you donate one hundred fifty dollars they will give you two single day tickets and a twenty dollar planet hollywood gift card. Give them three hundred dollars and they will give you four single day tickets and a forty dollar planet hollywood gift card. I dont know if you can get these in the hospital gift shop but there is a phone number on the website that you can call if your interested.

Thanks!!!!! This is awesome. I will definitely donate. It goes to a great cause!!!!! I think this is the best way to purchase tickets, discount or not. :wizard: $750 for 10 tickets and $120 Gift Card. Think about it!!!! :littleangel: I called the hospital and Disney does not see any of this money. It all goes straight to children's hospital. I am a NICU RN and have two disable children myself. I make multiple charitable donations to many organizations and I will be sending them my donation ASAP!!!!!!!!!!

You should not buy tickets from private parties. If the ticket owner wants to give it to you and then you reciprocate (take them out to dinner or something) then fine.

The tickets you get from the hospital or charity are most likely not standard tickets. They are fine when you go for a day or two but you generally cannot upgrade them to add more days.

The tickets sold by Florida Hospital are considered Complimentary tickets by Disney. They are donated to the charity for find raising purposes by the charity.

And ticket marked "complimentary", which these are, cannot be modified or upgraded in any way. So if you will be doing parks for three days or fewer these tickets can make sense. If you are doing four days or longer they do not as Disney Park tickets are "front-loaded" in pricing.

Can these tickets be used for different people? I was looking to get 2 of them as bridemaid gifts.

Yes. Each of the tickets from Florida Hospital are one day, one park, tickets. However, if you want to use them as Bridesmaid's Gifts it is a bad idea.

Since these tickets cannot be upgraded or modified in any way they become almost worthless (actually worth $5.33 including tax). If a person was going, for example, for five days if they bought a five day ticket it would cost $237 but if they were to use the comp ticket for one day, it would still cost $232 for the four day ticket. Only if they were to need one or two days would it be worthwhile.

Hmmmm...I'm glad I read this.

I wonder if this would be worth it for my family :confused3

We are a family of 4 (2 adults,2 kids) and will be going to one park a day for 3days.

The Planet Hollywood cards expire before we are going.:sad2:

What do ya think?

:headache:

Two adult and two child three day base tickets, including tax, comes to $907.38 at the gate. How much would it cost you to get 12 of these tickets? And just for the fun of it, I looked at discounter Undercover Tourist and they are actually higher than gate for the same.
