We're taking 6 teenagers with us on a trip next month...we'll have 12 hours to kill before our plane leaves after we get off the Wonder cruise (we booked kids sail free, hence so many kids! :)) Our plan was to take them to Disneyland..I had budgeted for it...

but then, I found out about 70 Appaloosas that needed rescuing..I'm going next week to bring one to our forever home to add to our other two horses...we're on a tight budget so I need to buy more hay and get his Coggins/shots/feet trimmed...pay for the gas for the trailer to bring him here..

within the next month I can try to eek out a little more from our food budget (have become sooo good at that!)...but is there any chance that Disneyland ever offers coupons for a one day ticket? Maybe even Universal? It'll be on a Sunday, so I'd hate to save/pay and then there be crazy crowds..(March 20)

I think the kids just want to do rides..I got a CHEAP van rental from LAX (have to drop one niece off there before the rest of us get our midnight flight)...wondered if Disney offers discounted tickets if you go after 2pm or something like that? Hey, at this point, any contests for free tickets? :worship:

It may be the only time half these kids even get to California..just trying to give them the most...and anyone near TN/AL who can take on an extra horse..let me know! Their conditions are abysmal and heartbreaking. :headache:

Thanks all!
Tara

disney does not offer after 2pm or late afternoon ticket discounted prices, its the same price no matter what time you go.. i do know of any contests either to win free tickets

Thanks! Would Sundays be very bad congestion wise? Does anyone know when spring break is for LA schools? Thanks!

I saw you mention that you were going March 20th. This will be pretty prime Spring Break, and therefore really pretty crowded, yet manageable if you utilize FP. I am going to be there the 20-22 and most of the hotels in the area are sold out, so I'm expecting fairly large crowds.

As the PP mentioned, there are no discount tickets. If you want something more affordable with more thrill rides for teens, I'd suggest Knott's Berry Farm. They have a lot more thrill rides and are much less expensive. Right now they have an online winter special of $33.99 per adult ticket that is good through May.

Thanks!! I'll check them out, didn't even know there was such a place!! They'll have had so much Disney on the cruise, I think they'd just like to get their landlubber legs back with some rides...that would PERFECTLY fit into my budget!! WOW! :)
Thanks!!
