discounts for hotels?

My family and I love Portifino Bay . However, it is so expensive but was wondering if there's anything we can do to obtain a discount. We want to stay in the Portifino parlor suite since there is 6 in our party. We will be going some time next August. Thanks

You can watch for AP discounts and buy and AP if there is one.

Or call AAA and see what kind of discount they have. You cannot find out what the AAA discount online.

Not offhand, but look at the date and rate thread and go back to that time of year last year. People will list the resort, the room type, the discount and the price. That should get you all the information you want.

I like this site to book, because it's direct and it shows all the resorts (if you choose that option). You can put "APH" into the code field to see IF there's an AP on the dates of your trip, at the time you're checking. Keep checking back. IF an AP rate that's nice comes up, you can book it (or call and change it if you already have a room booked directly). You simply need to have the AP during your stay, and not even necessarily at checkin. So someone in the room will have to have the AP and you can ask at checkin when they need to see it.

Also, go out to the Loews and Universal sites and sign up for the newsletters/emails. We have APs but this year we received a PIN that saved us more than the AP rate did. I think our PIN was around 35-45% at PBH.

Ok I am going to suggest the sponsor of this site Dreams Unlimited. They will make a hotel reservation for you searching for the cheapest rate possible. Then if a new lower rate comes out they will automatically adjust the reservation for you The TAs are wonderful and it makes the search so much easier. We have done this with CB and it really paid off in savings. I dont normally promote TAs for WDW or US but these guys know their stuff!
