Discounts for Convertible in May??

I would love to surprise my husband and daughter with a convertible rental car for our trip in May. We have a towncar reserved but I figured if I could find a rental for about $150 I would get it. I have been watching prices and using any coupon codes I can find but everything prices well over $200.00. Has anyone ever gotten a convertible for under $200.00 for a week (actually 9 day)?? Or have you seen any great discount codes or coupons?? Our dates are May 6 to 15.

I would imagine that you'd need to get one heck of a sale or code to get a 9 day convertible rental for under $200. I always figure $20/day (with taxes and fees) for an intermediate is a good deal, but most agencies treat convertibles as "premium" cars. I wish you luck, hopefully you'll find it!

Also, remember, there can be less trunk space in a convertible (depending on the model) since the trunk is where the top folds into. Depending on how much luggage you have, it could be a tight squeeze.
