Discounts for Beg Oct?

When would you expect the discount codes for end Sept/beg Oct to be released? (Our trip is Sept 30 - Oct 3). We are trying to determine if we should rent points or wait for a good discount. What resorts do you think will be included?

Kinda Confused. Why not take the room discount now? If you check in on Sept 30 the discount will go into Oct. You can book up to 10 days from the last day of the end of the promotion. Just as long as you check in within the promotion date. You could have had free dining on this as well, but that promotion already passed. (although I did hear it may be offered again, but that was just a line in a post I saw on the Rate and Codes board at the top of this forumn.) The new rate that came out yesterday will allow you to apply dining to this room discount if you like. They don't usually do that, but looks like the will allow it this time.

Thanks for the info. I just checked a few days ago and didn't see the codes. We usually rent points, so the booking resort is new to me. I didn't know the rules. Does it save money to book a package or is it the same price to book room only and buy tickets later?

It used to be that you could book the pieces separately and do better. And that is probably still true. But the Dining option is nice to have and Disney has really made the tickets a better deal with the MYW tickets.

Just curious, why aren't you doing DVC? You can add dining and then buy tickets at ticketmaster or one of the discount placess. This would most likely be the cheapest version of a trip. (of course if you need a 2brd that may not be the case) Good Luck!
