Discounts / codes question

We're planning 10/08.
What is typically the best discount that time of year? a package deal discount? Room discount?
Should i just go ahead and book the trip now and then if a discount appears, apply it to my reservation?
Should i be joining AAA? Do they typically have the best discounts? I have the Disney Visa.

We're planning CSR at regular rates but do you think we could get something like the WL at CSR regular rates with a discount code that would come out?
