I am planning on going to Disney in April of 2003. It will be Easter week. I have five people in my family. I know this limits me to the resorts I can stay out. I looked at the All Star Resorts but I would have to get two rooms. Does anyone know a discount I could use or have any suggestions as where to stay?

Welcome to the Dis! I hate to bring you bad news right off, but there are not discounts at Easter break. Even last year when everything was discounted up until then, the All Stars in March were about $99 per night. I am a teacher and so can get the great discount at the Swan ($129) and we used that last March. It is the same rate for nurses and goverment workers too. If you can you may want to move your vacation to another time of year as Spring break is a very busy time at the parks. Always fun and the weather is great but crowded!:)

It is highly unlikely that there will be substantial discounts during Peak Season, particularly during the weeks flanking Easter. (But we are going at that time and are hoping for a nice code to come out.) Right now you can get a Disney club discount of 10% to 15% depending on the resort. That will basically cover the taxes which range from 11% to 12% or 13% (varies by county).

Two rooms at the All Stars would still be less than 1 room at the Deluxe resorts which would sleep 5.

If you are planning on flying and have not yet booked your air, the cost of the hotel may pale in comparison to what you'll pay for 5 to fly to Orlando at Easter-time.

Good luck and have a great time!

Thanks for your responses. I figured I would not find anything but I had my fingers crossed just in case. If I find anything, I will be sure to tell everyone!

Good news and bad news. We are going that week with our family of five. The good news is that we are staying at POR, for our first three nights of our trip, then transferring to the BCV's, and there IS a 15% discount using the DC card. I don't know if those rooms are sold out yet (there are only a certain number they save for this discount). The bad news...you probably would have had to get your flights long ago to get decent fares. They are sky high for that week. I booked our flights last May for that week and got the lowest fares, thankfully. But you never know, keep checking!
