Just wondering. The AP holder rate is less than 24 hrs old and some people are already reporting limited availability (I know the offers always stipulate "a limited number of rooms available", but I'm taking the reports more to mean that the discounted rooms are getting snatched up). Someone said that a CM told them more rooms could open up later. My question is, do they generally open up more rooms when the offer goes to VISA holders and then more again to the general public? I'm just wondering because if this offer doesn't go to the general public until Monday and more rooms aren't added availability will be pretty much gone by then. :headache: (we're not AP holders and we can't get a Disney VISA because we don' live in the US)

We already have a package booked, so are just hoping to add a discount to what we already have.

I was wondering the same exact thing.

My hope is that they have certain number of rooms avaliable for each discount. When the next discounts are released (hypothetically) then more rooms will open open. Maybe they keep a limited amount blocked off???? otherwise it is going to be really crowded if rooms are already sold out!

I don't think the resorts are getting booked up necessarily, just the number of discounts they are allowing for each resort. Either way, it would just be nice to know that the general public will have a shot at getting the discount (if Disney plans on releasing it to the GP).

"Normally" (although what's really been "normal" lately?) each discount offered has it's own "block" of rooms... AP will have a "block", Disney Visa a "block", Fla residents a "block", General Public a "block".... So, depending on what you're waiting for, you probably won't have any trouble. Although, when you see what you want, BOOK IT! I booked our AP rate first thing this morning.

Thanks! That makes me feel a little better. I have all my info ready (ressie # etc) so I can jump on the phone as soon as I see something - hopefully Monday?!

Just curious has anyone booked an AP discount for POR for the first week of Nov. About a month ago I booked a AAA room only discount at POR and was told by the CM that this was the last AAA discount room available for this time period.

If someone has been able to make an AP discount for the first week of Nov then this would be a good indication that they set blocks of rooms aside for each discount and there may be rooms available for other discounts to be released later.

Either way, call quickly when you learn about a discount.

B&W Mickey: FYI, I just checked the Passholder website for the first week in November, POR had both water and standard views available at the discounted rate.

Not sure if that proves your theory, but rooms were there for the taking...

Just booked POR for 11/27-12/6. No availability with AP discount at POFQ. But I don't care, I saved $400 from rack rate.
:yay:
