Discounted Annual Passes - Information and Official Exchange Thread

We will be at Disney May 24-31 and are planning to upgrade our NE MYW tix to APs. We would love someone's referral card to use for the discount! Please PM me if you have an extra one! TIA! :goodvibes

I have an AP and would be happy to mail my card to someone. PM me if you need one! We aren't going until September and I would love to have the extra $25.00 to spend! Thanks

I have a question. I am currently holding an exchange voucher which I will be turning in to an AP in 8 days! I was debating upgrading my fiances 8 day MYW w/ PH ticket to an AP as a surprise for him. Since i don't get the Mickey Monitor yet, do I just have to go to Guest Relations? I read that you have to be a current passholder and, well, I'm 8 days shy! Is there a cutoff date (you must be a passholder before MM/DD to be eligible)? This would make it so tempting!

Also, I can see the current issues of Mickey Monitor on the passholder website which I can get access to with an exchange voucher. Will there be something I can print offline or will it only be in the print issue?

Thanks Cheshire Figment! This is GREAT!

Just found some GREAT info on the Passholder website.

I'm a valid Annual or Premium Annual Passholder and didn't receive my Summer Mickey Monitor with referral cards. What do I do? Call 407-560-PASS. A guest services representative will collect your information. Based on eligibility, your Mickey Monitor and referral package will be mailed to you within 3 weeks.

Same answers for most other questions regarding "why didn't I receive a packet", "I'm a new passholder" or "I lost my cards"

I'm leaving too soon to call about getting a Monitor, but we'll go the guest relations route.

Has the Mickey Monitor been mailed out yet? I have an AP (also DVC member) and leave in 3 weeks for our trip in which I planned to purchase 2 new APs for grandchildren who live with me.

If I don't get the MM, can I go by Guest Relations as long as I have my AP and DVC Membership card.

I will be arriving in the world on July 31st, and was planning on purchasing my first AP so that I can purchase the TIW card for our trip. I will be purchasing our MYW tickets through Magical Vacations, and had planned to upgrade that ticket to an AP to get all the perks for our family.

I have a couple of questions:)

1.) Is the savings card only for Florida residents?

2.) If this savings card can be used by anyone, would I be able to use it with the ticket that I purchased from Magical Vacations to upgrade to the AP?

3.) If non Florida residents can use this card, would someone be willing to share one with me?

Thanks so much!!

I'm leaving for WDW May 9th. Is it too late to get a referral from someone? I'd planned on upgrading to an AP when I get there anyway, but would love to save 10% on it.

Is there a way to print the referrals from MM as we dont get it posted to the UK.

Also how many people can you refer is it 2 or more?

Please tell me more about the form from Guest relations, do I just pick it up then give it to the person I want to refer?

OH NO!! We leave TOMORROW. My daughter is stopping by today so I can help her order her NEW APs on the DVC website. We are current AP holders (since 1995). Cheshire Figment, what do you suggest I do? After this trip, just the 2 of us are going back to WDW mid-July (can we bring the others' APs for the adjustment? Or they will be back mid-August -- can they get the adjustment then?) I'm not sure if this is a blessing or a curse. Heck we just finished stocking up on the purell and santi wipes last night for the flight tomorrow, so now I have this to deal with! I'll go check the AP website and DVC website for more info and something to print in hard copy. Thank you for posting OP, as I know there is a slight chance we might save some money. Though I just bought brandnew AP vouchers for the grandkids early this week!!

I need 4. LOL. Who wants to give up that many?
PM me if you have any!
We are leaving June 4th, so there is time.

The information says the referral cards will be in the May mailing. It also refers to "current passholders". The program start date was May 1. This very strongly implies that you have to have been a passholder at the time the promotion started.

Having an Exchange Certificate does not make you a passholder as the certificate may be used by anyone. It is a bonus that you can get on the passholder section of Disney's Web Site without haveing an actual AP.

If I don't get the MM, can I go by Guest Relations as long as I have my AP and DVC Membership card.
There is a procedure for people who do not have the referral card in hand. It can only be done at a Guest Relations Office (not a ticket window and definitely not a Resort).

No, it is for any current AP or PAP holder.

2.) If this savings card can be used by anyone, would I be able to use it with the ticket that I purchased from Magical Vacations to upgrade to the AP?
Yes, it can be used with tickets purchased at a discounter and the normal "price bridging" policies will be in effect. See Post #7 in the sticky in my signature.

I don't know. Check the Passholder section of the Disney Web Site or invest in a call to 407-WDW-PASS (939-7277).

Also how many people can you refer is it 2 or more?
There may be up to six discounted APs on one referral card. And the card is limited to a single use and must be collected by the person who sells the tickets.

Please tell me more about the form from Guest relations, do I just pick it up then give it to the person I want to refer?
It appears to be a request to be sent a replacement copy of the MM.

Bring all the APs and the receipt, as well as the Referral Card, with you to Guest Relations no later than July 31 and the overpaid amounts will be refunded.

Cheshire:love:
You truly rock! I know I appreciate all your work helping us with all these things!
I don't know how you find time to answer all these questions and still go to work!

Has anyone gotten their Mickey Monitor yet? I will gladly share some of my referrals, since we get 4 and I only need one for my family. But we have to get them first. I just printed the FAQ from both the Disney website and AP holders website (different questions on each). I can't believe I found out about this just hours before buying online. Now if it works, that will be great for my daughter and SIL. We are holding our mail, but my daughter could check it next Friday if there is a chance the MM will come this week. Just like Disney to start a promotion (May 1) before we even get the referral cards.

NOTE: we leave tomorrow, 5/3 for our 2 week trip to WDW and will return on 5/16. If you PM me about extra cards, I can't get back to you until after 5/16, so please, don't pass up an offer while waiting for my return. I will check back after my trip.

Sorry if this has been asked already (I skipped ahead to the answer post) but can the 10% off be used in combination with the DVC discount?

We are arriving June 6 and we will be using/upgrading 6-day PH/NE to AP's with our DVC discount. Can I still get 10% off the DVC price? That seems too good to be true...

If it is possible, I will happily volunteer to buy 4 AP's with someone's referral....:goodvibes Anyone is welcome to PM me:love:.

According to the FAQ, you can get the extra 10% off even with the DVC discount and doing an upgrade.

If anybody would like to refer a person or two - my husband and I leave May 10th to celebrate my birthday/ 32nd anniversary - and I'm thinking if we get annual passes we would have to go back again with in the 12 months - Please? Thanks!!!!

Cheshire Figment -- How will the refund be given? Since my daughter most likely would use her CC, would I have to bring that, or could they put it on a gift card for her?? She will not be with us in July (since we'll be celebrating our anniversary). Since I know in advance, I could just put her ticket purchase on my cc to get the refund.

I can't understand why we just can't get a referral package from guest services if we can prove we are current AP holders with picture IDs. Seems strange that they are willing to MAIL the package to us if we didn't get it in the MM, but not willing to hand it to us in person.

The indicated procedure says "process the refund as normal". I know if I have reason to refund a ticket which has been paid for on a credit card, it will automatically go back to the credit card without having to run the card.

I wonder about some of Disney's policies also. I am so low on the totem pole that I have no idea of why some things happen.

We are purchasing 5 AP's on June 27. If anyone would be willing to give me their referral card it would be greatly appreciated! :goodvibes

Cheshire Figment,if my mother buys an AP by July 31st,but doesn't want to activate it until the first Night of Joy,will she be eligible for the 10% discount?
