General public room- only discount for fall 2011. Similar to the AP discount that's already out. Very likely to come out this week. Just don't know when.

It's also possible to see FD extended beyond March.

If not today, it will be tomorrow. There's also rumors of another FD discount coming today (extending to May/June).

There's been very little concrete info though. And nothing from TAs. Maybe a big crackdown after the last FD release.

They just released a free dining discount 2 weeks ago. I doubt the dates would be extended already. I would say that rumour is someones wishful thinking .

Hopefully room only will be release soon but I doubt I will even be able to take advantage of it. The Contemporary is already fully booked for my dates because of a convention going on.

Me too...hoping to switch my FD to room only code and get our 2012 spring trip booked as well. My DH so loves it when I have multiple vacations planned.

Does anyone know if we purchase an annual pass for our daughter who is 17 (hoping to use this summer and then again for graduation next june) if we can add dining plan to our tickets if my husband and I have regular tickets. So would it be best to add dining to our tickets and we can add dining to hers too?
Also, I see someone posted above that there was a new AP discount code, F33 is that a new discount code?
I dont think we can all afford the annual pass, but we wanted to purchase one for her, im just wondering if that would make it more difficult for us to book dining plan. Also, does the passholder have to be older than 18 to receive a discount on special discounts for passholders?

It is my opinion if another GP offer is extended anytime soon, it will most likely be for a % room offer till the end of 2011.

We have heard that the discounts will be coming still but just that the bean counters will be waiting longer before putting the deal out there and that is what we are seeing.
Last year FD came out in 2010 and covered up to Sept 30 2011............... this year the offer only covered until March of 2012

There will still be discounts just not as good as before which we have been seeing for sometime and we just might have to wait longer for those deals to appear.

I was hopeing for a room off discount to come out today since the previous GP ended Sat 8/13, I actually do not know why I am waiting since I highly doubt my dates will have any availability, the resorts are booked up due to conventions etc for my dates.

I hope something comes out soon for everyone else to save some $ and make their trips happen.

I was told if I bought a AP for myself then I could get the AP discount on the room rate and would not have to buy a ticket for DH, (could get his ticket at undercover tourist) but could add the DP to the room.

How I understand it the holder of the AP must be the "lead" person on the reservation and I do not think anyone under the age of 18 can be the lead person. So it would have to be either you or your DH who has the AP.

Maybe someone else can chime in here, since I have not done it myself so not 100% my info is correct.

I am SO bummed about there being no free dining during my trip dates. (2/25 - 3/4.)

I have the feeling the answer will be no, but has Disney ever taken away blackout dates before? Or has anyone received a FD pin for around that time? I'm still not ready to give up my ADR plans yet.

DSis just got a PIN for room discounts for fall (35% on deluxe). Which means that GP codes will eventually come out, but not soon....

Hoping for a room only discount for February. I guess we were spoiled last year because it came out in August at the same time as the FD. I think a year or two before that the discount didn't come out until October/November for our February trip. Right now I have a reservation with FD, but I'm not 100% sure those dates are going to work for us. If they do, I'll keep that, but I'm hoping for a room only discount just in case we have to go the week later when FD is not offered. We will likely go one way or the other, but it may mean staying at AKL instead of BC and staying six nights instead of seven. I know, I know. We're a little spoiled. The only reason I'm willing to pay rack rate is because it will be the last time we can go during the winter because DD starts college next fall.
