We are thinking of heading to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on 9/29/09. Tickets go on sale May 1st -- I see.

Should I jump on these? Does this event sell out? Is it worth it?

Price is about $50 per person. Do they ever offer a sale on these tickets (or a discount)?

I don't think it will sell out that early, usually the parties closer to Halloween sell out. They don't usually sell discount tickets unless you are an AP holder. They do however have two prices. Some of the parties (depending on date) are considered premium. The party is the same but the tickets are a little more expensive. As far as I know and I could be wrong, the prices for this years parties haven't been released yet, just the dates of the parties.

Some nights DO sell out & Friday nights are much more crowded than other nights (expect like Halloween) there are different nights have different prices- I know when we went. I know that some people say that it wasn't worth it, but we thought it was- make sure to not do the rides that you can do in the day- do the special stuff like pcitures, parade, villian -mix & mingle...we loved it! Hope that helps

We have gone to MNSSHP for the past 6 years...each year seems progressively more crowded and the lines for the characters ridiculous...we usually go early October or mid October...my kids love to get dressed up and hit the dance parties but my DH and I are questioning if the fireworks and parade are worth it...it's a lot of $$.

WE have gone to MNSSHP twice. Last year we went in early September. It was by far our favorite day of the entire trip. We all LOVE the MNSSHP. I am not a huge halloween person, but I really love how Disney does Halloween. It is a fantastic time.

In past years only the tickets really close to Halloween sold out.

Have fun if you decide to go!!

DBF and I went last year and LOVED it. The fireworks were our favorites out of the whole trip, and the parade was AWESOME. There are tons of characters in the parada you don't normally see, as well as tons of characters out and about that you don't normally see. We have pictures of Snow White and all 7 dwarves, Tarzan and Turk, Captain Hook and Smee together, Alice and the white rabbit together, and tons of villians that never come out! I loved it and I would say that if you're into Halloween it's DEFINITELY worth it!!!! Even if you're not I thought it was worth it.

Last year we called Disney and ordered tickets and got them a little cheaper than if you were to buy them at the parks.

Hope this was helpful and hope you have a great time if you decide to go!

I'm nearly sure that when I ordered my MVMCP tickets a couple of years ago that they had a buy it early special where I saved a little bit up to a specific date. That may have changed though.

They offer discount tickets to DVC members, AP holders, and CMs on certain nights (always the same for this group). The discount is about $10 a ticket off the gate price. You can generally save a few dollars buying in advance online. The tickets for actual day and near it are never discounted. The discounted nights are generally Sundays and Tuesdays, but only a few days are discounted.

Thanks for the tips! We attended the Pirates and Princess Party and found that it was bit overpriced. We didn't do that event well either. We didn't really watch the parade or the fireworks. We did get to see Jack Sparrow though which was a treat for all. Too bad I messed up in getting the pictures done.

Can adults dress up as well at the Halloween party?

I'll probably give this some thought. If we miss out (by it selling out) its not an entirely big deal. We have 6 day hopper after all.

Last year, Halloween night sold out in early early Sept. I know this because I called to order my tix, and they had just sold out the night before. :scared1:
I do believer that Oct 30 ended up being a sell out too. Those were the only 2 dates that sold out. IMHO, I don't think you will have anything to worry about if you want to go in Sept. But, that is MHO, nothing more, nothing less. ;)
BTW, we did get to go to the party on Halloween night. I was able to locate someone who had extra tix due to a relative cancelling last minute on them. It was the 2nd time we'd been to MNSSHP, but the 1st time on Halloween night. It was awesome. And yes, adults can and do dress up. DH and I dressed up as did our DD13. But now DD16, she was too cool for that. :rolleyes1
Have a great time, you will love MNSSHP!

Last year I totally dressed up and was definitely not the only adult dressed up at all!!!!! There was even a family dressed up like dalmations and it was really funny because Cruella was there taking picutres and she really interacted with them!!!

Anyone know the answer to this: if you have tickets to MNSSHP (but not regular daily admission to the park), will they let you in before 4:00 if you have, say, a 3:00 ADR somewhere in MK? 4:00 is the time they start letting MNSSHP ticket holders in, right?

No they won't. Earliest you can get in w/ a party ticket is 4 PM. If you have a 3:00 ADR, you would have to use a regular park ticket to get in. Sorry!

You know it's interesting that you said this. I attended the MCMCP a couple of years ago and attended the Pirates and Princess Party the next year. While I loved MVMCP, I wasn't too impressed with P&PP. I was wondering if it was just me.

Saw tons of adults trick or treating. Myself and DBF included :) Many of the adults trick or treating weren't even dressed up, so no shame in trick-or-treating at all! :)

I read somewhere the dates and this year there is not going to be a halloween
party on Friday, Oct. 30 ,, anyone know is this maybe an error and they will sell
tickets for it ? Or is it a date they hold back for some reason ?
