discount rates during peak times?

we are planning a early march trip to coincide with an off property conference my husband is going to....march 5-10.........i've found out that this is peak time........has there ever been any good rates during that time?

we have ressies at SOG, but i'd like to stay somewhere else.......there are 5 of us so we'll need a delux or mod (have a toddler/& 2 kids)........

we're getting AP's in January & are staying at SOG then, but I'd really like to stay somewhere else for the 2nd trip.

any advice would be appreciated.

You can do a search on these boards for the information. Also if you go to www.mousesavers.com they have a chart that shows for the last few years what discounts were offered and when they were offered. Remember, just because they gave a discount during a certain one year, does not mean they will do it again, or that it will be the same percentage of a discount.
