I thought I read a while back that there was a discount meal plan for those with annual passes - we were interested to get information on this to compare to the meal plan.

Any information would help - I tried a search, but since I do not know what it is called, I am lost.

I think you are referring to the Disney Dining Experience. I had it last year. I loved it!

It was $60 & got me 20% virtually everywhere. It was good for a year and paid for itself in 2 meals with my family of 4.

I think it is good for up to 6 people, but I'm not sure of that.

You should get it ahead of time for them to send you the plastic credit card looking card, with a magnetic swipe. But you may get it at guest services at the parks. You will ne issued a paper card and the server will have to manully enter your number.

From what I have read on the WDW website yesterday, the DDE, now Tables in Wonderland card is $75.

It worked well for us in the past, but since they have introduced the QS Dining plan, I don't think it will make much sense for my family of 2. We also booked free dining in Sept, so again doesn't make sense.

At $65 it was affordable and it did pay for itself fairly quickly, but I had more family members last year and went to more TS restaurants then also.

I bought the Tables in Wonderland (TIW) when it was still $65 last year. I go to WDW quite a few times a year. It has definitely paid for itself with the 20% off food and beverage purchases. I liked it better than the dining plan, because it had more choices of restaurants I frequented. I like the TIW better, as you are not locked into eating onsite all the time. I also like it because you do not end up with leftover credits at the end. It just works better for me.:surfweb:

Yes, it is now $75 for annual passholders for a year's membership.

You do get a small (5 or 10%) with the AP by itself at some restaurants.
