Discount on DDP?

I am very confused right now I am wonder if maybe somehow I got a discount on the DDP that I was unaware of I originally booked my trip coming up the end of this month at the end of Jan but I did not include the DDP. A few weeks ago I changed my mind and called to add it. I was given a price of $479.86 to add it so I paid for that and I didn't think anything more of it until my mom, sister and BIL went to add their's for the same 6 nights and their's was going to be $701 and some change so than I looked more into the prices and I do not believe that I was charged right for my reservation. We have 2 adults and 2 children (4 & 6) that would be on the plan with a 6 night stay. According the prices posted here that should have cost us $599.76. So I called up and told the cm I wanted to make sure my reservation was correct and so he rattled off my check in date and departure date, the resort I am booked for and my park tickets. I told him yes that all is correct so he asked me what else I wanted to know and I explained how I called and added the DDP and I wanted to make sure it was all done correctly because the price just did not seam right to me and I wanted to make sure that the kids were included in that and he told me children under 3 would not be on the plan. So I explained to him that I have a 4 and 6 year old also coming and he said yes they are included in that. Now I told him several times that I really felt the price was incorrect but he assured me it was all fine.
I know it says everyone on the same reservation has to be on the same plan so it should be fine but I just don't get why there is over a $100 price difference. I just really do not want to get to the resort and find out there is a problem with the reservation. Should I call again just to make sure?

According to my calculator, you're right. Your total should be $599.76. And, if there are just three adults in the other party, their total should be $701.82.

Have you paid for the dining plan already? I know with DVC, which is what I am, you don't pay till you check in. I'm assuming it's the same way for everyone, and as long as the CM said your reservation does include the dining plan, I wouldn't worry about it. You can straighten out the dollar amount when you get there . . . or they will.

But, if the CM didn't "see" the dining plan on your reservation, I'd call back, 'cause you can't add it when you get there (if there's a mistake). I'll bet it's on there, though, and he just wasn't picking up that your concern was the accuracy of the dollar amount.

Thank you for your reply. That is part of the problem I did already pay for it. When I booked my package it had to be paid in full 45 before I was set to arrive and so when I called to add the DDP the rest of the package was already paid for and they required that I pay the additional amount right than. I checked my account and the money has already cleared my bank so that all went through. I am going to call in the morning and see if I can get it all figured out. I am a little concerned that the CM did not mention the DDP when he was reading off the rest of the reservation but I don't understand why ,if my reservation didn't show the DDP, he would not mention it to me. Plus he did not seam to know about the kids booked with me and I already have my itinerary showing them on it.
I honestly think the CM who added the DDP for me may have been new or something because it took him a long time to make the change and the phone kept going very quite like it was being put on mute or something. I really hope there isn't a mix up somewhere and it was just an oversight by the CM I spoke with today

I was very busy today and forgot to call Disney Travel but when I checked my mail I had an updated itinerary that had everything correct. It does show the DDP and for all 4 of us. I have no idea how I was charged less than I should have been but everything else seams to be correct. I guess it will forever be a mystery.

Are you sure you're counting your days and nights correctly? That's the only reason I can see for the $100 difference. I know...stupid question.

I'm glad you got your itinerary, today, and everything looks OK. As long as the check-in/check-out dates look right, the correct number of people are listed, and it says DDP, I think you'll be OK. Maybe you got some 100 Years of Magic pixie dust. Who knows? Just enjoy!

LoL My reservation says 6 night stay and we are checking in on May 28th and checking out on June 3rd which is 6 nights. I just really do not know. I think there has to be something I just don't know about. My mom did add the DDP on to her's today and it was suppose to be $701.82 (according to the Disney website) and she ended up getting it for $521.97.

I tell you it is the strangest thing. But I will not complain.

If you added the dining plan a couple of weeks ago the CM may have converted you to the discount package with the free ticket upgrade which had to be booked by mid April. Your travel dates fell into that promotion.

Look at the code on your reservation confirmation: If it begins with a "Z" then you have the promotion for a free ticket upgrade (free hopping and water parks).

On the reservation confirmation you're looking for QUICK SERVICE MEALS, TABLE SERVICE MEALS and SNACK. Also be certain that each person is on the reservation. Sometimes they drop off.

Sometimes Disney computers defy explanation, so be sure to travel with your confirmations. (I'm a TA and the computers are a mystery).
