Discount for WDW resort room?

If you book a resort hotel before your cruise through DCL is it discounted? I know the MCO Hyatt is but have enough time to go enjoy a resort.

Usually it is cheaper to book a room at WDW yourself as you can take advantage of any discounts that are available. It has been mentioned here that booking through DCL is done at rack rate.

No, you pay the full rack rate for WDW resorts that you book via DCL.

Also, MCO Hyatt is not discounted when booking through DCL. They charge a flat fee, not subject to Hyatt’s surge pricing and discounts. It is always good to check elsewhere before booking the Hyatt through DCL since there can be better deals out there.

Agree. We've always gotten a better rate booking a Hyatt member rate vs. through DCL. I know sometimes folks can get a better rate through DCL, but we've not experienced that.
