how far in advance do discount codes come out and where do you find them also what discounts do they offer year round like (AAA) and how much are they

go to www.mousesavers.com this is where you will find all the discount codes and who and where they are eligible for codes usually come out only few months before scheduled check in dates.

I know for the Oct-Dec time frame codes come out mid August, those were the ones we used last year.

AAA during value season you get 20% of value and moderate resorts and 15% of deluxe.

So should I book my room for December right now, and then if/when codes come out later in the year, call back and ask for the discount?

I need to do the same thing. Should I book the AAA rate through Disney, and when discount codes come out call them and see if I can get the better rate with the code? Or should I just call and try to use the code and call back later and cancel the AAA rate reservation.

I'd book through Disney with an AAA rate, then when/if codes come out, you can call and modify the ressie.

We initially booked through AAA last year for our Fall trip- when codes came out, it was a pain to cancel with AAA, and book with Disney- refunding deposits, making deposits, etc... it makes more sense to just make the ressies once, then modify them when necessary.

If somebody has the patience, could you take minute and explain how to use discount codes? Never used before, but did book through AAA with great success, but always looking to get the most bang for my buck. Thanks.

Just watch here and people will post when codes become available, or check MouseSavers.com. You then call Disney and check availability with the discount code.

Disney will occasionally release discount rates for their resorts. The discounts are limited to a certain number of rooms for each resort. In order to apply these discounts, the customer must call Disney and give the 3 letter 'code' that is associated with the discount. At that time, Disney will look up the code on the computer, and apply the savings to your reservation, if there are rooms available with that discount at your resort.

The codes are available on the DIS, as well as on mousesavers.com. When they come out, lots of people report the code letters, and the rate discount amounts.

If you keep checking the boards and are quick to call Disney to modify your ressie, you can get some great deals- last fall, we got a 40% discounted rate on POFQ for the dates we needed!

We stayed at pop century in Jan and I waited until Nov to book...apparently there are only a certain number of units they will offer AAA discount for at each resort...or so she said
