I am currently trying to book a 3-night stay at the beginning of June (we are doing a split-stay and the 2nd half is already booked).
There are slim pickings available even at standard rates. We are 4 adults and will need a room with at least 2 queen size beds, or 2 rooms at a value (or family suite). We are splurging big time on the 2nd half of the stay, so I am trying to keep the first half affordable. Staying on-site is a necessity because we always take advantage of EMH.
I can't get a room that ticks off all the boxes using the 3-nights, even if paying rack rates - lots of fully booked hotels. However, if I add a night at the beginning, an AP discount comes up in multiple resorts.
I have also checked Swan, Dolphin and Disney Springs area hotels.
Since reservations can be modified online - If I book the 4-night stay and ultimately decide to drop the first night - will the discount stay? Or should I just keep stalking rooms for the 3-night stay. I am coming up against the 60-day FP+ window, so I definitely need a reservation before that starts.
Also, will the FP+ stay if I modify the reservation after they have already been booked (assuming I do not book them for the 4th night)
