HELO! How do we search for completed auctions on "there"???????

:confused3

Go to advanced search, and there are some boxes to check, one is completed listings.:goodvibes

Good Morning!

School is on a two hour delay, so I thought I would take a few pictures of my latest creation.

This is made out of the pillowcase from KMart. Made with the Farbenmix "Vida" pattern.

I'd like to know the item number on that pricey outfit too! PM me please!

I'm in a lime green and pink mood too. Where does one find Farbenmix patterns? Edited to add: I googled and am In-The-Know now. Did you actually trace the pattern?

Both of your dresses are so cute!

Have y'all seen the scented pillowcases at Walmart? A scratch and sniff dress in the making?

The best I could get after 5 outfits for a 19 month old

Ahhhh, I lost all your cute pictures! Your little guy is a sweetheart and looks great in his outfits.

I never get tired of seeing that sweet Lily. That cupcake skirt is fabulous!! I saw one on :wizard: that went for lots of $$ and yours is just as cute!! I'm making a top with that Ariel pillowcase. I need to do the button holes and buttons today to finish it up. I really like how Ariel wraps around the leg of those jeans.

No sewing today, but I made my first attempt at a bow.

Great job on your first bow! They are very cute, as always!

I found the $$$$ outfit on :wizard: by searching boutique in closed auctions with a price range of $600-$750. I'm not quite sure what makes it that much more special than many others on :wizard:

Thanks!

A scratch and sniff?

If I remember correctly,-----ahem....enough "scratching" is already going on. ;) Add the sniffing to the mix, and it could REALLY make for some interesting photos!

In all fairness....some of the ebay boutique custom makers have a HUGE following. They have been sewing for years, and do impecable jobs. But GOOD GOSH, that outfit wasn't all that.

I love both outfits :) But, I LOVE the cupcake skirt. The cupcake line from gymbo is always a favorite of mine. I think it is because it always comes out right before Katie’s birthday. It is also the line that started my gymbo obsession almost 3 years ago!

Can you please tell me where you got the dot fabric you used in the skirt? I have the Robert Kaufman sweet tooth fabric and I am looking for a dot to go with it. It looks like that would work very well. Thank you in advance.

I got the dot fabric at a quilt shop. I checked my scraps and found no selvages with any clue who made it. Sorry!

oh what book;)

Atonement. I haven't seen the movie yet so I'm excited to read the book. Too bad I was so tired I fell asleep on page 3!

How big was Lily- she looks teeny!!

She was only 5lbs. 12oz. and 19" I was induced a week early and ended up having an emergency c-section. It turns out there was a problem with the placenta/umbilical cord and I believe she had stopped growing, so I'm very grateful she was born early! My other babies were 6lbs.9oz, 6lbs.5oz., and 8lbs.6oz (Luke).

No sewing today, but I made my first attempt at a bow.

I put the bow on a clippie-(which I found at sallys- Thanks everyone) I wrapped the top in ribbon. And I put hot glue on the inside to make it none slip. I held it open til it cooled. It didn't take to long-it was low temp. glue

Cute bow! Did you put glue on the top and bottom of the inside prongs? I hadn't thought of that but when Lily's hair was thinner I had some with tiny velcro pieces glued onto the prongs. I wonder if it would work with the glue just on the top inside prong? If I put anything inside the bottom prong it pulls her hair when I am sliding the clippie in. (I usually have some sort of ponytail to hold the clip in too). Lily no longer has baby hair, but I need to make some bows for my baby neice.

These are gorgeous I love the cupcake skirt too. Seeing everyone's creations just makes me even more excited about it being "my turn" :) :goodvibes
awwwwwwwwwwww cluck cluck cluck cluck so adorable makes me want another one :cloud9:

We're excited too, can't wait to see what you make!

Here's one of the things that Nana brought for the girls for Valentine's Day. Isn't it cute?!?!? We took the girls to MK on Sunday.

Here is another one that I have been working on for Spring.
Can you tell I was in a pink and green kind of mood lately?
At least it is not all WHITE!;)

Thanks for all the comments!:goodvibes
Sometimes I look at things and all I see are the "imperfections". I need to get over that I know!

Love the jumpers Tom, gorgeous work as always! And I love that you used both sides of the pillowcase! Are these for Leigh? :rolleyes1

And about that ebay outfit, when I search customs on there I always list highest priced first. It is VERY interesting watching some of those outfits get up there! And Jayden thought that the little model for the $735 outfit looks like Norah. No wonder it went for so much! :rotfl:

Hi my sewing friends. I was supposed to go to my first "learn how to turn on my machine class last night" but it snowed and they cancelled the class until next week. It's a three week class but I was so looking forward to start. I see all of these beautiful things on here and can't wait to get started.

School is closed here today as well. DD was looking over my shoulder and she said, "THAT is what I want you to make with my Ariel!!" Pink and green are one of my favorite colors combos as well. You have such great talent for design. :thumbsup2

I love the conversation hearts on the t's!! Are they embroidered??

I can't believe that outfit went for so much!

Must have been an Oilily junkie with an itchy bidding finger!
I was wondering if the Oilily fabric was part of what made it so pricey.

Thanks!

I agree, the workmanship and time that are put into so many of those boutique outfits justify the prices they are asking in most cases.

I'm so excited to have a snow day today. The kids have had lots this year, but I've still had to go to work. Today I decided that the kids, sewing and 40 valentine cupcakes trump work. :rolleyes1

Ladies, we are back from our trip about one week now. We had a fabulous time. i now thing everyone should go to Disney just one-on-one with their kids. It was a magical trip! Unfortunately i am way back on page 100. Here is the required from the old thread picture of the sewing machine at Minnies House.

I finished my Minnie outfit yesterday. I think I'm going to go back & add some shirring to the bodice, but I ran out of elastic thread. Angelcakes wouldn't pose for me today, I think it's naptime. She did however get to wear her PINK bow with this outfit. :lmao:

love love love this!!!! hope you guys don't mind...can't contribute yet but i'm really generous with the compliments!

I CANNOT believe that outfit went for that much. That was crazy! I didn't even really see what was soooo special about it. I have seen way better things on here from all of you!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe that someone was willing to pay that much for one outfit that will only be worn once or twice and then what resold for less than it was paid for. Some people have more money than sense. IMO the outfits made on this thread are far better than that one.

This is adorable. I might CASE this. I got the material to add to a dress for DD but she later decided that she didn't want the dress altogether so I like your idea and just might CASE it.
