And just because I found this photo and couldn't believe it, this is Lily when she was 2 days old. I know she was teeny and skinny when she was born, but I forgot how teeny she was!

P1030152_edited.jpg
OMG she was tiny. My DD weighed 8lbs when she was born. She looked so tiny though. I miss those days.

So I had a look at the outfit that went for $735 and I have to say that although it is a nice and very well made outfit it is not worth that amount of money. However I would absolutely die if an outfit of mine went for that much.

I know i am really late in responding here, but I like it with the words.

And then this is our coloring book page. We usually make a small coloring book for Kirsta's Bday parties.

What a great idea to make it into a coloring book!

That looks great! My dd's favorite princess is Sleeping Beauty and she would be wishing for something like this if she saw this.

What a lucky little girl. Where did you have the opportunity to color with Mulan? We couldn't even find her last trip! :rotfl2:

We saw her at the China pavillion, and there were only a few kids waiting to see her, so when she was done, she came over and colored with dd. We also saw her the very next day at MGM. We have not seen Mushu though..hope to see Mushu during our next trip.

Why no, there wasn't anything more important than spending the morning making an outfit for Megan's doll, why do you ask?

Also, you might notice that Tessa is not the only cute model at YCMT. ;)

Very cute! I can't wait to make clothes for dd's doll when she gets one for her birthday in August.

Your ds is so adorable, and love all your customs. SOrry I couldn't include all the pictures here..didn't realize that there is a limit of 25 images!

Okay, I've commandeered DHs computer and I'm starting to put my photos on it. Here are photos of Lily in her Minnie skirt. As you can see she loves it!

The cupcake skirt is so cute!!!! She was such a tiny little baby.....looking at baby pictures always make me feel sad...they grow up way too fast!

I have a question about making a sailor suit....what do you use for the contrasting fabric for the strips (about 1/2" wide) on the collar - do you cut a piece of fabric and fold it to the size that you want, and sew close to the edges or do you use something like ribbons/bias tape? Can't you tell I am just clueless? Thanks!!!!

I'm new to this thread (still having trouble with the one big long thread method, but I'll get used to it! ). I've made a few sailor outfits (sorry, I don't have any pics!) and I just used grosgrain ribbon. Worked perfectly! Mine were red on a white collar (and a navy outfit). I also used it around the hem...

Welcome! welcome

Can someone pm me the really expensive outfit?

There are a couple of sellers that get at least $250 an outfit. There was a discussion brought up on another board about a :wizard: seller/buyer strike because of all the new fees. It will be interesting to see what happens starting the 18th. I more of a buyer but some of my friends sell on :wizard:. I am not going to buy anything during the strike so that I can support them!!!

Here are her Ariel jeans I made with the big Joanns applique and some various fabrics and pillowcases I have to make some sort of top. I've since cut out an a-line top but it is too big for her. I still have no great Ariel top. I think we need a peasant top maybe.

IMG_0939.jpg

And here is her cupcake skirt. I made it to match a cute sweater she has. She will probably wear it to church on Sunday so I will get photos with a model then. It looks cuter with the matching sweater and t-shirt and tights...

I love both outfits :) But, I LOVE the cupcake skirt. The cupcake line from gymbo is always a favorite of mine. I think it is because it always comes out right before Katie’s birthday. It is also the line that started my gymbo obsession almost 3 years ago!

Can you please tell me where you got the dot fabric you used in the skirt? I have the Robert Kaufman sweet tooth fabric and I am looking for a dot to go with it. It looks like that would work very well. Thank you in advance.

Such cute outfits today!!!

Will someone please pm me the link to the expensive outfit, too. I am dying to see what all of the fuss is about.

me too I wanna see the $$$$$ outfit on the site tha shall not be named. Can someone pm me too.

oh wait only 167 posts to go:banana:

CONGRATS to Seli's team! What company's Nationals were you at? I know that UCA's were this weekend. What division is the team in?

THANKS!!!! We were in Vegas with COA...not a fave of mine, I prefer USA (they'll be in Disneyland in March!!!!) but, that's just me! Her division is Juniors level 4 or something like that? She's got anywhere from 10 yr olds up to 15 and 16...crazy! Sure was fun though! She LOVES your name, btw...she wanted me to tell you!

:
Yeah Seli!!!!

Are you going to share your Mulan pictures? I'd love to see them! I just love Mulan!
QUOTE]

Thanks! I've been telling Seli about all the congrats she's gotten and she's like, gosh, those ladies are soooo nice! YES THEY ARE !!!!:grouphug:

I was talking to Jeanne today about the Mulan pictures! I have to dig them out somewhere...they're just some of my favorite! Love that princess!!!!

I'm pretty sure the entire Heather/Teresa clan will LOVE Utah when you all move out here in 20 years! Lots of good fishin' here :rotfl: Lots of cool DISers too!:thumbsup2

TRUE! Way cool DISers live in Utah! :rotfl: And we have way pretty mountains too! I MISSED those mountains when I lived away! Lemme tell ya! Can't wait for ya to get out here!!!

The question of gathering two skirt together was brought up yesterday. I made a quick little vday skirt for my DD.

I gather the two layers together. First I pin the layers. Then I serge the two layers together. Next I baste the layers with a long machine basting stitch. I pull the bobbin thread to make the gathers. Finally I pin in place and attach the waistband. Here are the pics. I hope this helps. It is not super tricky once you do it. :)

ooooh, THANKS! :thumbsup2

Absolutely! You're only 29 once, right? :rotfl:

I've been 29 for quite a few years.

OH me too! I've actually trained my kids to think that I'm 25...:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I finally got my DS1 to "model" for me. Here's most of his customs. They mostly match my other DS whose pics I posted this weekend.

SOOOO dang cute! And those outfits rock! GREAT job!!! :worship:

I didn't think you could get any better, but there you go! LOVE it!!!! I want one for MEEEEEEEE!!!!!

awwww...I remember that little peanut!!! puts tears in my eyes! I have the CUTEST pic of Seli holding her when she was just itty!!!

Shameless post just to pass Heather on the list. I'm sure it will never happen again! I know, I need to go do something productive, like go to bed :rotfl: or go read the new book Sugarbees just gave me for my birthday!

ooooh yes, lemme know how it is, I might need to borrow it when you're done! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Not sure, I would go into photoshop and find it but DH did not even try to fix my computer last night :headache: Just wait till I figure out how to get all of my photos onto his computer! He'll be sorry then.
thanks for your help - sorry your computer is being a pain!

This is the tutorial I follow for making coloring book pages out of pictures.

http://www.photoshopsupport.com/tutorials/jennifer/photo-to-sketch.html

One of my cameras is a Kodak, and I like it's program the best, so it use for my other digitals. Anyway, it's part of the Kodak program under edit. Kirsta loves to do coloring books for her Bday parties.

Thanks for all the help with the coloring book - such a great idea.

As usual - nothing but cute!

and that precious newborn picture - so sweet!

I put the bow on a clippie-(which I found at sallys- Thanks everyone) I wrapped the top in ribbon. And I put hot glue on the inside to make it none slip. I held it open til it cooled. It didn't take to long-it was low temp. glue

You are a genious with the hot glue. I wish I would have known that tip when DD was a baby. She didn't have much hair until she was 18 months.

Could someone pm the item number please? I can't stand it!
