I don't think I showed this- ds said we wanted to be buzz again for halloween- I told him it wouldn't fit again so I got him to agree to woody. It was super cheap on disney shopping. He couldn't wait to try it on when it arrived the other day!!

Brrrr, that looks cold! He looks pretty darn cute in that costume.

Thanks!! :goodvibes
I will probably attempt to make dds again this year but that is a long way off :rotfl: But I couldn't pass it up for the price!!
And one word about the cold- LAYERS!!!!!!

Here is some proof that I've been sewing. I bought this *&^##%^& pattern and HATE it! I don't know who made it or the pattern number, because it's in the garbage. Anywho, this is the top that I wrecked. LOL
I finished it this morning..

It's really cute.. did you not like how it looked? or was it actually the pattern and the way it was written or something that was a pain? Just curious

Also, for those who have Kohl's and maybe aren't the sewers that some of you are - I saw a cute sundress there tonight. The brand was Blueberri "something", I can't remember. It was red with white dots - smaller than Minnie but definitely reminded me of Minnie - kind of full skirt and had a belt of the fabric at the waist with a couple of daisies for trim - kind of like the "yo yo's" someone was talking about. I didn't have my camera or I would of just taken a pic - it would have been a lot easier. Anyway, just thought I'd mention it.

Y'all are still doing a great job! I just love to come see what you're sewing!

This is a new set I got Gracie from one of my favorite sellers on that unnamed auction site. She will wear this for breakfast at 1900 Park Fare next month.

This is very cute. I just saw a vintage pattern for a dress like that one and couldn't decide if I wanted to get or not, but seeing this dress I think I will buy it now.

I assisted ds!! That's what they make those thermal underwear for-:lmao: That freezing smilie is so cute!!
And we didn't catch a blasted thing!!! But I was glad to see old friends!!

Hello everyone! So Georgia's skirt is done. Its not as cute as I wanted, but it works and she loves it. so that is what matters! I also finished her cake. Which was also NOT how I wanted it to turn out! I had cross bones on it, but I had to cut them out and construct it from another cake, but it wouldn't allow frosting! Grrrrrrrrrrr so I figured it out, and we made two cakes. the other is still cooling. Tomorrow I have to finish the crayon roll ups for the party favors. and the party is at 12:30!! YIKES YIKES YIKES!

Oh I love that top! Its so sweet! Don't you love those tents??!?! We have one too. Georgia loves it.

I finally uplaoded the pics of my DD in the Mulan dress. She was a big hit, all the CM's kept saying "Hello Mulan" to her. Mulan herself got a big kick out of the dress and came over to the line took my DD by the hand and walked to the temple with her. Where they just had a lovely chat. Mulan did not seem to want my DD to leave:love:

I also got some pictures of her in one of her silks

Wow beautiful stuff posted overnight! I love Gracie's outfit (which I said already). That was a lot of detailing in the appliques. Yikes...I would have given up. If I tried that it would have taken me a month! And it wouldn't have turned out half as good. I would have charged $6000 for the outfit :rotfl: :rotfl2:
Love the skull and crossbones skirt and top too... very cute!
And the Mulan dress is perfect...I am glad she was such a hit!
Ok back to the sewing machine...see you all later!!! popcorn::

STUNNING! Does it sound like I'm a stalker if I say these pics brought tears to my eyes? Really, Morgan is just beautiful! I LOVE seeing these pics of her in the China pavillion. And, honestly, I may be a tad big jealous! I love the pics I have of AbbyGrace with Mulan (they're some of my favorite), but I've never thought to take her silks to take pics in China.

After seeing the pic of the custom, I'm very curious about the back now. Would you mind posting a pic of the back of the dress? Seeing Morgan in it makes me wonder if AbbyGrace can pull of the halter style.

I love this fabric! That is so cute and is the perfect summer dress.

The thing I really like about the Farbenmix patterns are that they do offer so many options for embellishment but the design itself is cute enough to work without adding anything. I still haven't gotten comfortable tracing and adding the seam allowance but a tip I got to use 2 pencils rubberbanded together worked pretty well. I follow the pattern line with one pencil and have the other on the outside so it automatically draws the seam allowance. It's not perfect but much easier than the way I was doing it.

Stupid question: do you use special paper to trace the pattern onto? I have been using regular copy paper but was wondering if there was something better. When I asked them about it at JoAnn's they looked at me like I had three heads.

We just discovered the joys of boutique bows and DD loves them! She also loves he new headbands. The1EvilQueen made these for me. She hasn't posted in awhile so I'll email her and let her know tp check her pm's in case you send her one. Here are the 3 she made us. Jennwdw made our bows!!

And you forgot to mention they really increase the cuteness of her head, as well! :thumbsup2

ahhh did they have a good time. Love that scrappy!

Yes, I kept shooing him away but he managed to get into one shot. Megan had a terrific time. Tom said she ran around the whole time and only danced to one song.

Awww, these just melt my heart!!!!! Megan looks so adorable!!! I love the last picture, is she kissing her Daddy's hand??

Did you make this dress? It looks similar to one that Arminda got at Penny's, it's so cute!!!!

Yes, it was her idea, of course. I got the dress 50% off at Dillards. I think it was leftover from Christmas. The theme was 50's prom and I thought the big dots were retro.

Those are SUCH cute pictures!! I love the one of Daddy and daughter. Tessa: "Ooooh, she looks so pretty! Her Daddy gave her flowers!!"

See, girls appreciate things like that! Actually, I got the flowers but you don't have to rat him out to Tessa. I'm so glad Lacy mentioned it here on this thread because she was so happy when Tom put them on her wrist!

I love all the matching outfits, but these are my favorites with the flouncy seeves. They look so cute!

Oh shoot I wanted to add the after pics-

I haven't gone back to see what all I've missed today, but I had to say...

My kids won't think its wierd...

Awww she is so adorable. I love the way she poses in all the pictures. That Mulan dress is really cute! I bet she really did get some extra attention from Mulan. I bet you will treasure those memories forever!!

Okay, since all of you are so creative I figured I would ask you for some suggestions. My little girl is turning 4 next month and is having her party at a local gymnastics place. She just started taking lessons and is absolutely IN LOVE with it. She won't stop talking about it!! (It is so cute to watch her...anyway...lol)

I want her to have something cute to wear to the party but it has to be rather simple and easy to move around in since they will be doing gymnastics. Any ideas?? I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!!!

(PS...my daughter is here and she wanted to send you some smilies so here are the ones she picked. Hahahaha

Hi Tink! Long time since I have seen you post! (I mostly lurk as well) Gracie is BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE the customs, you have fabulous taste. Your posts make me happy, we just received our LID. Hopefully our daughter will be here before too long. Happy trip to you!

That came out very cute: I love the matching bows (yes, I am jealous).

I bought a skirt for me yesterday at a discount place in Alabama (it was 14 bucks!).
it has a tiny bit of tulle on it.
It really is made for adults, I promise, but we all know I got it so I can pretend to be a princess. heh.
now I need to decide what kind of top to wear with it.
it's black and waaay over the top. I would post a pic, but I have no idea where my camera is.
still trying to get organized after my move.

Can't wait to see it: go find that camera!

Aww, she looks just like an angel! Love the top!

I love the daddy-daughter photos, they are so sweet! And the Hannah Montana outfits. They are both adorable, and Aimeeg, love the new Belle! Sorry if I forgot anyone. I'm having a hard day :rotfl: I just ran to 3 different fabric stores looking for fabric for Easter dresses for my DDs. I have a specific image in my mind and swore I had seen it somewhere. After going to Joanns and 2 quilt shops, I came home and realized I knew where I saw it--my bedroom curtains :scared: If I don't find something I like online, I may have to pull a Giselle :rotfl2:

Well, she makes look easy in the movie, so get to it! :rotfl:

Well, it came out cute, sorry it gave you such a headache. I used to be so self-conscious about my skinny legs when I was a kid too.

Wow she looks beautiful. Did you fix her hair? It looks really pretty. Of Course if Scrappy is anything like my Sophie he wants to shred that corsage. :rotfl2: Daddy and Daughter are adorable!

Thank you! I curled her hair with an iron, it didn't take as long as I thought. That's probably why we couldn't get rid of Scrappy, he smelled the corsage!

Cute girls in cute tops! Happy birthday!

Hi! I Have A Disney Skirt I Bought From Disney Shopping, It Is From Last Summer, The Disney Divine Line, It Is A Sage Green Color, Anyway, The Skirt Runs Very Small, Slim Cut, It Has Pleats In The Front And Back. To Make It Larger I Took Out The Pleats From The Back, My Question Is, I Plan On Replacing The Waist Band With Elastic, Maybe Just The Back, What Is The Best Way To Do This. I Am Not Sure How To Measure For The Elastic, Do You Just Take Your Waist Measurement. Any Help Would Be Appreciated Thanks

I would measure around your waist and cut the elastic. Then you overlap after you run it through the waist and sew it shut. Then it should fit perfectly! I hope this helps and holler if you run into any problems.

Oh my goodness this is gorgeous! I love the colors of the peasant top and that apron style top is just so cute. Gracie does look big!

Cute! I bought Megan a Jasmine costume really cheap on Disney shopping.

Cute! I bought that iron on and put it on a pirate skirt and it has held up well through several washings. I love your cake too!

Morgan looks so cute! Did you get a picture of her with Mulan? I would love to see the two of them together.
