Now I'm a professional bridal seamstress (NOT) but really, I think I can do any beginner/intermediate pattern.

I remember your Aurora dress! I would call that much more difficult than beginner/intermediate! That's the trick though. Just keep getting patterns that are slightly more complicated than the last. Before you know it you will be making wedding dresses.
I made the wedding dress, maybe I should try Aurora now! It looks MUCH MUCH harder though! Wendy, you want to fly on up here and help me make one?
I am going to have to try that - I noticed the armholes too. I'm not sure if she plans to donate again - It is so hard to say what her "mood" will be then - LOL! I had a hard time letting go of Emma's hari both time so I know what you mean. What sweet girls we have!
I agree!!! I wish I could find the pictures of Arminda getting her hair cut! They were on my computer, but I don't see them now!

Thank you so much!!!

LOL on the correct name!!! Thanks for setting us straight!!! (I remember walking that HUGE mall, er I mean Fashion Center with my Mom looking for my prom dress. Hahaha
Did you post the required prom dress picture?
had to share my newest headband.
I LOOOOOVE that!!!!!

That pose just makes me smile!!!! Emma is so cute!!
Ok, I'm going to be MIA this weekend. We are potty training and we start cold turkey tomorrow morning. I can't leave dd2's side, so I won't be on here much, maybe naptime and after bedtime. I also have a lot of sewing to catch up on! I just dread coming back on Monday to 75 pages to catch up on!!!! So, everyone needs to stay busy this weekend and keep the posting to a minimum

It was a nice thought!
Ok, I have another Giselle dress to make! I should be busy with that!
I will add straps to this so that I don't have a wardrobe malfunction. I don't think I'll use ties but actually straps. My next project is just regular sewing but I have to put the pieces together.
My DD22 picked out a pattern for a dress tonight that requires a zipper. So I will be progressing to that soon. She also found some material like this and wants me to make her a shirt.
So, you might be posting pictures of your beautiful daughters soon?
I guess you just never know with the dye - we did some for our family - got wet and no problem - i guess its just a 50/50 shot at the running???
Great picture!!!
Riley wanted me to make something for Drew to wear to her basketball games. Riley also wanted me to tell you that Drew doesn't tuck the shirt in all dorky like that and that I just did that so the words showed up in the picture!
Drew calls this her cheerleader outfit. I didn't want to do all of the pleats of a cheerleader skirt so I cheated and told her that cheerleaders sometimes wear skirts like this!
I love that basketball skirt!!! So cute!!! I am SOOOO relieved that she doesn't wear it all dorky too!
This is CarlaC stripwork jumper. I modified the back and staps. The Tink set has just a regular skirt. For the straps I cut a piece of elastic the length the strap needs to be. Make a casing 2x the length of the elastic, insert elastic into the casing and secure both ends. I've never done a button hole - I don't need to with the elastic back and straps!
Here's some front views...
I added the directions to the bookmarks, I just hope "they" don't hide it! I think we should call these straps "Leslie Straps"
Funny, whenever I see a jumper without the elastic in the straps, I think it looks wrong!
SO, after I posted the pics, I went and dug around in the closet and come up with this. I know it's not completely boutique, but I just don't have it in me to make a top tonight. Do you think it's gonna work?
I think that looks great!!! Call it done and get some rest!
He is sooooo cute!!! That's my future nephew-in-law, yah know! Tessa is plannig on marrying him!
BTW for those of you w/this fabric, it also looks really cute with denim.
That is really cute!
Ok I am going abck and reading. My you ladies have been busy today while I was gone! I had to go to Dallas to take DS to Scottish Rite and get his new braces and I passed a Jo Anns! I was so excited! I didn't have much time so I was limited to what I got. And nothing was onsale blah. I am sure everyone has already seen these but they were new to me.
I really love these two fabrics! I've never seen them before! I think it was Heather that was saying recently that you don't see Woody on anything! These are great!
