ROFR Thread Jan to March 2026 *PLEASE SEE FIRST POST FOR INSTRUCTIONS & FORMATTING TOOL*

my surprise with the ROFR report is that there weren't any for Copper Creek. Since they had CCV available for direct purchase, I had thought they might need to ROFR to fulfill those contracts. That they didn't ROFR says that Disney held a lot of points already.
I noticed that too. And, as I recall, CCV with its sold out $155/point price tends to be one of the sold out resorts that sees a fair amount of direct sales even without a "flash sale." Makes me wonder what percentage of points Disney kept when they declared the resort sold out.

At any rate, makes me feel pretty good about my current CCV contract currently with Disney for ROFR!

Well, RIV being taken at $121…that is very suprising
Agreed. I was thinking about what the motivation could be. I mean, they haven't even declared all of RIV's points, so what could make them want to ROFR 250 points at $121/point?

Simplest explanation, I suppose, is that it matched a unit they previously ROFR'd, so maybe they figured might as well grab 250 more points in that unit to give them the maximum amount of flexibility to sell it.

If you're someone who thinks Disney cares about the resale market and how that affects direct sales, I suppose you could imagine Disney trying to boost the RIV resale market as they make a final push to sell it out - give direct buyers some comfort that Disney won't let the resale price drop too much. But, I'm very skeptical Disney cares about that to any significant degree.

That's the only way I see them doing it too is it had to be from a unit they wanted. I also doubt as well that they care about RIV resale prices, the lower the better it is for them to ROFR.
