Ok this is what I have been up to tonight. This is the skirt and shirt that I made out of my $0.01 panel. I bought the last of the cream lace and it wasn't enough to go around the skirt. So I just used some that I had on hand.

This is DD's Valentine's dress that she wanted. I just bought the shirt cause I didn't want to deal with a bodice tonight.

Ignore the McDonald's cup in the background. That is DH's.

These look great!!!

It's a very simple sundress pattern from some old magazine that my Mom cut out. It was my first try so it was a learning experience! I learned that I will use velcro on the back instead of sewing tiny snaps on everything!

I would pull my hair out trying to make Barbie clothes -- not enough money in the world to pay me.

Teresajoy! Jord is a GIRL!!!!! :lmao: :lmao:

We took this pic for you!

(Not that you can see Morgan's outfit-but that doesn't matter when Jord is in the pic right? :rotfl: )

She is too cute! My kids love to play Bunnytown on the computer!

Morgan got a kick out of all the "signature" poses and asked me if I had shown hers (which I don't think I have  ) But here is the "Morgan":

Love it all! Not much time to post today, it's housecleaning day! :scared1: I'm sure I'll be making Barbie clothes at some point in the future. When I was little, my friend's mom would whip up (and this time whip up really means it!) Barbie outfits (no patterns) for us as we played Barbies "oh, we need a wedding dress, oh she needs a coat" no problem! That woman was talented!

I've seen so many great things lately! I am actually going to join in the fun. I put a couple of picture on photobucket last night so here are a couple of things I've made in the last few months.

This is Drew's Thanksgiving outfit. She wore it to school the last day before Christmas break too.

Drew asked for a special birthday outfit. There is a 6 on the skirt of the dress that you can barely see. I actually played a dirty trick on her. She loves that rainbow rick rack and well, I don't! She is always begging me to put it on everything and I never ever do! So, I was buying this fabric and thought, "I can put that on this dress and she'll love it and I'll never have to see it again!" Win, win!

Well, those are the only two I have up so far. I have a couple of others that I will try to get up later!

I've loved everything and have been stealing tons of ideas from all of you!!!!! Keep up the good work.

She is sooo cute and I love the outfits! Even the ric rac!

TINKABELLE-I somehow missed your post but LOVE:love: both of the outfits!

LOUIESMOM-Please share how you did that skirt! I love the two skirts in one!

These are great -- I love the sock monkey!

I don't usually lie to my kids, really, but I did tell them years ago that you had to have a teeny tiny sewing machine to make barbie clothes and that I couldn't afford it because it cost a million dollars!:rolleyes1 I do NOT want to start making Barbie clothes!!!!

This totally sounds like something I would say to my kids!

Do you buy prepackaged elastic or buy it by the yard? I used to buy it prepackaged and learned that I could get a heck of lot more if I buy it by the yard.

Ohhhhh, you're right. I never remember to get elastic until I am done with the fabric and I never want to get back into line. I will have to try to remember next time. Thanks!

It wasn't until last year that I even noticed that they sold it by the yard!:rotfl2: I was always buying it at Wal-Mart and complaining b/c I thought it was expensive. It wasn't until a Hancock close to me was going out of business that I saw it!

Hey everyone! All the outfits look great! I have the sick that went through my house. Not fun. I thought I was going to get lucky, but NOOOOOO.

Ok, I know you all have been waiting to find out. :lmao: The winner of the mommy and me outfit is.........

100acreprincess!!!!

I'll PM you later. I am going to go lie down for now.

Which is worse: being lazy or unobservant? :rotfl: Oh well, maybe we'll both be on track now! Thanks!

My wal-mart also has some over by the pre-packaged that hangs up that us usually laying at the bottom on a shelf. It isn't in a package but it has a paper wrapped around it to keep it together. The length depends on the width of the elastic, but it is a really good deal for $.97. I usually buy a bunch all at once and then I don't worry about it when I am buying fabric.

I used to buy the elastic in the precut packages. Then I found out Joann's includes the by the yard elastic in the "50% off notions wall sale" :cheer2: :cheer2: . So I stock up during that sale!

Aww your daughter is such a little cutie!! Hey what is Bunnytown? I have never heard of that? Is it new?

Cute pose!!! (Oh and that picture makes me MISS the beach so bad!!! I grew up on the beach in Southern California and I wish I was rollerblading on the bike path there right now)!!!!

Actually (despite the grumpy looks in the pictures), Louie loves to try on the things I make, especially big fluffy twirl skirts. I don't know if he will be such a cooperative fitting model a few years from now.

Your sweet little guy is just too cute!!! Your comment about being a cooperative model made me laugh. Enjoy it while you can! Hahaha. :goodvibes How old is your little one??

Where in Southern California? I lived at the beach! Hermosa, Manhattan and Redondo!

I'm so jealous, my kids need a signature pose!!

So, here's The Matthew...
