I'm not able to post pictures. I get an error message about "post too low" What does that mean?

I believe you have to have 10 posts before you can post pictures.

I am on down the road from you and I here ya on the winds. As a matter of fact, I can't find our trash can we put on the curb this morning for trash pick-up I guess the wind helped it find a new home

Hmmm I am too. We lost our trash can this morning. The nieghbors maid picked it up and put it outside her house. I didn't know if it was ours but apparently it was because DH brought it in through the house and asked if I was just going to let the neighbors have our extra can.

Now I am curious where are you MinnieGal? We are about 2 hours from Dallas. Actually will be there on Thurs DS has a followup at Scottish Rite.

I am taking sewing classes with my 16yo dd right now in addition to the many other things I do so I check this thread and the original off and on. You gals are amazing!

I emailed my sister pics of this, and she wants one....for HERSELF...she's 27. I told her top only, and OK.

I think I may try a mommy-and-me on this...I have about 200 yards (maybe more) of each of the two fabrics. (one is the longer with embroidery, the other short) What do you guys think? I might do a top and skirt....

You know, you just got me thinking about a woman in Hawaii who started selling her mother and daughter dresses at craft fairs and then eventually started retail. Cinnamon Girl is now a huge multi-boutique success.

I see a lot of talent here...

Yeah all you Texas people must have wished that stuff my way, because the winds are howling here. Almost everything has been blown off of my granparents porch. When I was driving out to their house a little while ago my car was swaying back and forth the entire time. Next time ya'll get something like that send it up north.

Well...my capri turn out a little short..so it looks like it is a pair of purple shorts! Not sure how I like it with the princess top....I didn't use the pants pattern that came with the top..instead, I use the YMCT Easy fit pants. I thought I measure it so it would be a little longer..guess I measured wrong. What do you think? Should I make a longer pair of pants to go with it (since I have more purple fabric), and is the rick rack too high or should I make a skirt instead..a twirl skirt of some sort? Here is a picture of my dd in the top and pants..she was less than thrilled that I interrupted her playing for pictures!

I think the outfit is cute. Love the princess fabric. Question - is that furniture in the picture from Ikea? It looks a lot like some that we have!

ANYWAY!
I noticed you have an Edward Cullen pic in your siggie...you must be a Twilight fan...my sisters in law and myself are too! The two of them are actually obsessed! They both have the "bite me" t-shirts, which are super cute...and they've pre ordered Bella's bracelet (w/the heart charm and bear charm) or they've already gotten it or something! And they love to compare S.Meyer to Vampire Diaries...haven't read them yet myself...BUT! I can't wait for the 4th book! anywho... I was shopping a couple of weeks ago and saw a sticker on a car window that said "bite me...twilight mom" and it had the bitten apple underneath...SO cute! SIL's are DYING for one, no idea where it came from...
ANYWAY! Sorry to ramble...just had to comment! I think "Cedric" will make a good "Edward"...you?

Sugarbees - love the bow holder/decorations. I have a daughter with a M and the other is a K so you can send your trial runs this way.

And the Gymbo Whale watching line was one of my favorites, I'm still holding on to some of it (sold some too , but it didn't fit anymore so I hope it went to a good home).

I spend TONS of time putting my eBooks together (forsaking all housework, poor DH), and seeing that they are used by loving moms to make custom sets for their beautiful kids really makes it all worthwhile .

I love those peasant tops. Sleeves scare me. I've never done one. Are they hard?

I like to bow holders, too. Of course, we have no need for those. My DD's refuse to wear any type of hair piece in their hair.

I was VERY pleasantly surprised at how easy the peasant top/sleeves actually were! Everyone has told me so, but...I was freaked out by the elastic action, but...they really are pretty easy! I HATE patterns though...grrrr...but I haven't gotten it figured out enough to go at it without one...YET!

Ok, Here's the Valentine's shirts. I'll have to get pics of them on 'cause they look way better on the girls than on the hanger (at least to me they do).

I just landed a major score!! I went to walmart. (What is it about walmart? )All I had to get was milk. But of course I have to wander over to the fabric dept. I checked out the remnants and I found a frosty panel, a princess panel, and half a princess pillow panel. They were all reduced so I put them in my cart to find a scanner to see the actual prices. Found a scanner and it said to find an associate. drat! Well luckily there was one the next isle over and she she had a little machine that spit out the price.....are you ready for this....... A PENNY EACH!!!!! I asked her if she was sure that was right and she said whatever it says on the machine I have to charge you so it's a penny. I almost kissed her I was so happy. I figure they will work perfect for appliques and the frosty will be for a twirl skirt next christmas. Here is what I got. Don't mind the wrinkles they were all bunched up in a roll.

First the bows, now this!!! What are you trying to do to me?? GREAT DEALS!!! I'm so jealous!!!

I love all of these fabrics, just not sure on the third one with the other two. The third one is my favorite though! White capri's and a light blue or white bodice would look good with the first two. I like denim with the third one. You could do the bodice in denim and put a ruffle on a pair of denim cpris. I agree with eeyore3847 - red dots would be cute with it too.

For some reason, I couldn't get the original post to quote, but I agree with Leslie. I LOOOVE that last fabric, but don't think it really goes with the other two.

I always use a pattern, except for my simple skirts or for the skirt of my stripwork jumper. I am just too askeered (sp? Teresa?) to try my hand at something without them.

With a word like Askeared, it doesn't matter how you spell it, so your good!

Sometimes I see posts where someone has trouble with a particular pattern, and the insecure part of me wants to jump up and say - "but I said do this on page x!!!" Anyway, I just want to say - please please please p.m. me or email me for help (my url is in the eBooks, and that will get you to my email). I am very happy to help in any way that I can (though I have to admit that I still want to throw my ruffler into a busy street sometimes - LOL)!

So since I've "delurked" (a big thing for me because I am a big shy geek), I'd love to get in on this fun contest thing! The first 5 people that p.m. me and say "Hi geek!" get my brand new twirl skirt pattern emailed to them! I think this one totally lends itself to Mickey head appliques, and I hope to someday see one posted here !
