oh my goodness! these outfits are ADORABLE. I absolutely love love love the pirate outfit. And she's such a cutie!

I think they will look awesome! I love the fabric and the patterns you have chosen. i think the spider fabric will make an excellent cape. And I spy a disney cd... pictures? music? info to plan a new trip?;)

Stephres - thanks for a mini report! It sounds like you all had tons of fun! I love the bandana outfit. too cute!

Miss Cammie - holy cow  thank goodness for you and your power nose! Glad everyone is ok and that all that needs replacing is the dishwasher.

I just stumbled onto this thread and am a complete novice at sewing so please excuse my rookie questions. I really like the way the applique's come out and think this is something I can handle. Do you buy the appliques sort of like patches and just sew them on a t-shirt with a zig-zag stitch? Is there anything else you need then the shirt, applique, sewing machine and thread? TIA

LOL! It's a CD of pictures from our 2006 trip. My penpal from UK and I are playing a game to see if we both have the same pictures at Disney.

My DH has given me the go ahead to look for a job in FL when I graduate. I'm so excited. Jenna is excited to. You can come with us also. Than we can all live together in WDW.

YAY!!!! We could have a whole "Dis" neighborhood...and everyone could have black and tan Doxies!!!:cool1: And we could all paint our houses Lime Green!:lmao: Seriously...Jay and I are going to move to Florida when we can...it may not be for a while...but that's the plan.

until then I'm still working on DVC ownership!!

Yup we're okay:goodvibes ...Jay keeps bringing me dishes and saying "SNIFF that...does it smell like smoke?" We both have asthma so it's making us sound like Darth Vader!

Jay has a private patient at noon and then we are all trooping to Sears to get a new dishwasher...which is kind of cool! I love to pick out appliances!:cool1:

Welcome to the site!! Becareful, once you start lurking and then posting and then making - you'll get hooked!! I've just quit my part time job to make clothes and I was a hem and seam sew-er before...now I'm about to make shirts for myself and I've made princess dresses for my girls for our last Disney trip. Good luck! You'll definitely get inspired!!

Find Teresajoy's post and check out her bookmarks in her signature. She has a link to appliqueing. It takes some talent to do it. Most of these ladies/men cut out fabric based on a design they've created and then applique around it. Or you can buy a pillowcase and applique around that. Trust me it takes a lot of practice, but as you can see it's really neat!

A lot of the ones on here are people who've cut out different fabric to create their own applique of a character and then put it on skirts, dresses and shirts.

And here is Lily in her Disney petti. I got it when it was 40% off so I think it was like $14.50 or something. SOOO worth it! She LOVES it. Did not want to take it off. Then she wore it out in the sandbox :scared1:

IMG_0210-1-1.jpg

Lily looks great! I got the petti for Lauren and she refuses to wear it! That kid has such an independent/stubborn streak sometimes.

Here is my first attempt at the new pattern ... I'm not loving it, but I will practice more this weekend! I just wish I'd used cheap fabric for my first one. Oh well, dd2 will be pleasantly surprised when she wakes up :)

I love it, you did a fab job!!!

The applique tutorial in the links is great and it wil tell you this, but you will need heat n bond lite to put the applique on whatever you are appliqueing and sulky tear away stablizer on the back to keep it from bunching. Good luck!!! I am a relative newbie and I learned with minimal stress thanks to the GREAT tutorial!!!

Those who have bought embroidery designs off of :wizard: please PM me the IDs of the sellers you like. I just bought little einsteins and want some more disney I just don't know who to trust!

Thanks!

Now, off to work where I am exposed to all things Disney for 4 hours!

Everyone's outfits are so cute this week! I hope everyone at WDW & Disneyland this week are having a great time!

I finally have enough posts and figured out how to log back in so I can post pictures of some of the sets we have worn to Disneyland. We live in SO Cal and have annual passports, so we go to Disneyland a lot! My model is my granddaughter, Kadie, who is 4 and LOVES to go to disneyland!!

2-15.png
This was her 4th birthday in front of Ariel's Grotto, her favorite place to go!

Okay, enough for now. :goodvibes We have lots more!

Sue
these outfits are the cutest. beautiful!

OH and PS...guess what happened to us tonight...

about 1am...we're all snoozing...Sally and Teddy and sleeping away...Jay is OUT...suddenly I sit up in bed with my little bunny rabbit sniffle nose going b/c I can smell SMOKE! And it's hurting my lungs and making me cough!

So I jump out of bed and check on the kids, both sound asleep...but the smoke smell is so strong...but the alarms aren't going off.

I have to SHAKE Jay to wake him up.

We check all over, can't find the source but it's strong. So we called the Fire Department...non emergency number of course...not 911.

They tell us to get everyone OUT. So we wake up the munchkins and put them in Jays SUV...along with the dog.

A police officer::cop: arrives, walks in and says "It smells like a CANDLE...do you have a CANDLE burning..."

I wanted to slap him. Seriously. Do you honestly think we wouldn't have y'know...figured that one out for ourselves?

AND I have strep throat AND a fever so I'm NOT very patient right now.

Police officer tells us that the fire chief:firefight will be along shortly...

Next thing you know FIVE fire trucks pull up in front of our house...lights going, sirens screaming...about 30 fire fighters:firefight :firefight :firefight :firefight :firefight :firefight :firefight :firefight :firefight :firefight ...no joke...all suited up HEAD TO TOE come streaming OUT of the trucks.

I'm a little freaked out...cuz the smoke is thick in the house.

Turns out our dishwasher caught ON FIRE and was burning the bottom of the counter. But it was a weensy fire.

good GRACIOUS.

the thirty young firefighters who were SO amped to put out some fire and save some damsels in distress were pretty bummed.

So NOW...we have to buy a new dishwasher.

Our neighbors hate us.

Sally can't fall asleep.

and the smoke made my throat hurt worse AND I'm having a wheezy asthma attack and had to use my wheezer IN FRONT of people which I HATE to do.

not a good night for the Campbellscots.

:headache:

okay...it's 2:15 am...must try and sleep.

night loveys!!!:goodvibes

OMG! Glad ya'll are all right!

My DH has given me the go ahead to look for a job in FL when I graduate. I'm so excited. Jenna is excited to. You can come with us also. Than we can all live together in WDW.

:cool1: hope you graduate soon so you can have some major fun in the sun! Sadly... Florida will only be a place to visit for us. Unless we magically earn enough for a winter home..........

Jay has a private patient at noon and then we are all trooping to Sears to get a new dishwasher...which is kind of cool! I love to pick out appliances!:cool1:

well, :woohoo: for new a new appliance. there's a silver lining for you!

I'm no help w/ appliques, as I like pieced quilts, but welcome! :flower3:

That's because ebay won't allow listings for emailed downloads. :sad2: If the seller has their About Me page up, you can email them and see what they're planning on doing.

Well Ive got the DVC thing down, I wouldnt mind living near Disney during the really cold months, but need to skip on those hot humid summers. But if I were there I would gladly contribute to the LAB QUOTA!!!

Anyone know where to find a pattern for a sailor hat? After seeing a few cute outfits with them, I'd like to whip one up for DD. I've googled and gotten nothing...

Thanks!

That turned out so cute!! Great job not using a pattern.

Teresa found one a while back, but I couldn't figure out how to do it. It should be in her bookmarks. If you can crochet Youcanmakethis.com has a crochet pattern for one.

SUE - it's great to see those customs again! I LOVE your work! And your DGD is just precious!

Sue

I just noticed that a few days ago. I ended up googling the name of one of my favorites, and finding an onsite store. I was glad for that!

That's because ebay won't allow listings for emailed downloads. :sad2: If the seller has their About Me page up, you can email them and see what they're planning on doing.

I didn't realize that ebay had stopped emailed downloads. That's just silly. Thanks for the heads up though - I'll need to hunt down my sellers now.
