I stayed up last night until 5:30am and got woke up at 8:30am. This is gonna be a long day. I have a ton to get done. I got Jenna's Epcot dress done, a Pooh Bear dress, but did not get to the nightgowns. I still have packing to do. :sad2: Shame on me!!! Waiting till the last minute.

2 posts in one day!! WOWZERS!!!

Hey everyone- can someone point me to the pattern you used for those cute purse/bags you all were making a few months ago?? PLEASE???

Just wanted everyone to see the Alice I just finished. I am super proud of it. And we are HUGE Fans of alice in this house!!

LOVE it! OF course I think Alice is vastly under represented (it says so in the margin) in the world of Disney. You can find the mad hatter or the chesire cat easier than something w/ Alice, though she seems to be popping up more often lately. But isn't that always the case...when I like something it's terribly hard to find or super expensive and by the time it catches on I'm over it.
I'm a trend setter, what can I say. It was that way w/ Tink. I remember my mother going to great lengths to find ANYTHING w/ that pixie on it for me and then she'd find a $200 crystal figurine and say forget it! Now she's EVERYWHERE, I blame the Goths.
NO sleep for you!! SEW SEW SEW!!!
You can always take your machine w/ you;)

DH is definitely concerned...we only just made our Oct. reservations and yesterday I was planning our entire trip. Whatever, it makes me happy. Just knowing that we are for sure definitely going is exciting to me-even though we go every year at least once.

party: CONGRATS to all of the graduating Kinders!!

So, I started to think I need to go to Joanns to get fabric to work on a 4th of July outfit...cause I know you're all gonna start in w/ them and maybe I can get a jump on it... Brand will KILL me if I come home w/ more fabric. Of course if it actually becomes an outfit it might give him hope for the rest of the stash-:rotfl:

I just wanted to share this...yesterday we dd's end of year school program (next Thursday will be her last day of pre-k). After the program, all the parents were asked to go back to their classroom because the kids have things to share with us. Their teacher had made each one of them a memory book. She asked the kids question individually and then wrote down their answers, and she included pictures throughout the year. Anyway, this is one of the pages from my dd's book....

BUT .........

You'd better save it and use it as evidence for the day she turns on ya and doesn't want you to sew those cute things for her anymore!! She signed it. It's legal and binding!!

That is super sweet!!!! Yesterday my husband was asking Parker what she was doing today and she said "we need to go to Hancock so I can pick out material for a new outfit". I said nothing to her about going to Hancock -- but she loves it when I sew for her too (my son too for that matter).

That is too sweet. That brought tears to my eyes. I can't read those things from Jenna without crying.

this is soooooooooo true. Liv said a at the beginning of this year 'mommy why don't you make us pretty dresses any more?' so i said well gosh I'm so glad you miss me making you things, if I go make you something will you wear it? I got the blank stare and probably one of these  I took that as a no

Another question for all of you!

For those that put labels in your creations, what site do you buy from? I have some that my SIL bought me a couple of years ago but I am down to just a couple now and I'm thinking about getting some customized but I want the best deal on them. Any suggestions?

How sweet. Today I gave Little a chance to wear a store bought top or the AK twirl top I made her last year and she picked the twirl top. To occupy her while I tried to brush her hair I asked if she knew where the top came from and she said "you made it for me, mama" and when I asked if she remembered where we went when she wore it she said to Mickey's house. SCORE!!! I succeeded in making a memory for her. She now associates those clothes w/our vacation. So, maybe wearing them makes her a little happier knowing that they were part of that vacation magic.

Awwww!! That is so sweet. I hope I am making memories for Jenna.

You're right of course, it is different for girls than boys.

C-U-T-E CUTE CUTE CUTE! I love the outfit too. ;)

Men! What do they know!

Hey T! Glad you are doing better, stinks about the pain! I would be happy to help you applique, mickey heads are my specialty (and by specialty, I mean just about the only thing I can applique!).

Oh my, are they cute! I love the picture of them dancing. I really like Sophee's dress, it is adorable.

Cute little monkey! I love the after picture too, looks just like Megan. I would take a tube and sew elastic thread in the top and tack ribbons and tie and you're done. I made a top like that for Megan and it took minutes.

Here is what I made today, completely my own idea (ha!). I did the more modest halter top from CarlaC with elastic thread in the back instead of one piece of elastic and I like the way it fits, although I liked the other one too. I can't tell much of a difference (maybe I did the old one, lol).

I don't like it though. :sad2: It doesn't seem like it matches the pettiskirt at all. I should have picked a solid color for the ruffle, I think the stripes are too distracting. I don't know if I should start again and chuck it or what. I am a little depressed, I thought she could wear it to the princess lunch on her birthday and now I have to start over.

The halter top is adorable!

I think the problem is that the halter top is a cool pink/lavender and the pettiskirt is a warm pink. If she loves it and if you don't have time to do something else, let her wear it. You're probably more critical because you want it to be perfect for her! *LOL*

I like jham's idea of a plain white tank top with a coordinating applique--and making a twirl skirt to go with the halter top! :)

More work for you!

Hello all I have been a lurker more than anything these day's I wasn't even in the mood to sew.:scared1: I know I wanted to share the outfit I made for my friend who is expecting a baby girl in a few months. My hubby saw it and actually wanted me not to give it to her but to take pictures and sell it online. :rotfl: It made me feel so good. Normally when I make something am I am proud of it he kinda just looks and me and say another dress. But this time he raved about it.:dance3: So now I will share with you and see what you all think it's the first time I feel dis worthy. (even though it's not Disney:sad2: I hope to be as great as all of you someday. I just love all the creative outfits here too many to mention. Thanks for sharing.

Melissa...that is adorable! Those little booties are just super cute! Great job!

How silly am I? I got the sewing machine last night and looked over the booklet. Now I am scared to take the thing out of the box and set it up! My mom is gone for the weekend so I said I would try my hand at setting it up and start in on the criss cross dress from YCMT. Now if only I can get my nerve up to do it!

You can do it! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

That is really cute. It looks store bought. All of your stuff has been dis-worthy.

Hello ladies!

Whoever posted the crayon holder THANKS!:rolleyes1

As I was picking up Leighanna from school the other day the teacher said that she only had four crayons left, and wanted to know if she could bring a few more in to finish the school year.
Well... the creative mind that I have, remembered the crayon roll, so I "whipped" one up!
Leighanna took it to school the next day, and EVERYONE wants one now!
YIKES!:scared1:

So far I have made three more for her *BESTEST* friends, but I know I will be making more for some others!

I guess these will be little end-of-the-year gifts that she can give her friends.

Sorry I haven't posted much, but I do try to keep up. I love all the new customs that have been posted.

The only things that I have been up to are things for my wife and Mom for Mother's day.
A couple of new bags and matching wallets.
I have also completed the first three mystery quilt blocks from YCMT. I have a feeling that quilting might become my next obsession! Anxiously waiting on the next block!

Just when I was looking for inspiration for Birthday favors for Little's daycare class- Of course we all know that I don't "whip" anything up so I will have to a) enlist help and b) start now (her birthday is in July but I have a bowling birthday for DS soon and am in the midst of planning for my Dad's 50th birthday party in sept. and WDW in Oct.- what a busy girl!!)
I hope the instructions are in the bookmarks.

OOH OOH, I am definitely going to look for 4th of july fabric, I have decided what I want to make w/ it... a top pattern I have(dainty designs stripwork/corset) but
STEPH what pattern did you use for the bell bottom pants you made megan that DH thinks are silly? And I have to buy one more pattern- the dainty designs newsboy/cloche hat...I've been looking for a reason to buy it and I think this will just be the most adorable 4th outfit...though maybe pants are not such a good idea in FL in July...hmmm...

OOH, I can't wait to start!

Here is sTinkerbell modeling her crown tank top. She always wants to tilt her head, squint, and hold her hands in front of her so I can't see her outfit. :headache: and yes, her bows and/or pigtails are lopsided, didn't notice 'till I looked at the photos :sad2:

and here I let her choose the location and props so she's happy:

ETA: Lily is sitting in my lap, when she saw this post she giggled and said "that's too much Lilys!"

AND BOOTIES!!! How cute. What a wonderful job. Now if I can only come up w/ something that cute for my cousin's baby boy who is on his way in June. The booties are adorable though! What do men know about girl stuff anyway??? Sheesh!
