My son will wear a shirt..lol
IMG_0058.jpg

Kids are TOO cute! And for the true effect, no shirt!:rotfl:

Love the pose! Very Florida top, I love it!

I found this set of sheets at Wal-Mart and thought they were definitely screaming to become clothes so this is the pillowcase. I also want to make myself a pair of capris out of this.
My DD has these sheets on her bed right now...hmmm...capris you say?:rolleyes1

My ex husband was surrounded by the police like that once...somebody had robbed a store in a car just like his...he delivered pizzas so he was everywhere...they surrounded him with guns pulled and everything...do you think I can pay to see that happen now?:confused3 :rotfl:

Well I did not sew today- instead I took a nap too! and it felt good, well until FIL saw our pig sty, then I felt like I should have been cleaning while the boys were out! :laundy:

EVERYBODY needs a day off! That is when I get my best sleep...nobody around to worry about or wake me up!

MMMMMM, Coldstone...mmmmmmm It looks like she had fun!!!

Sadly, they know us when we walk in the door! We have been laying off the last few weeks and they asked me last night where we had been.:scared:

Hey all!

Fabric sale is over. I am in the middle of the post-sale anxety attack and DISing to calm down.

I have been skimming back. Lots of great stuff posted! LOVE the pettis!

Now I have to clean and start sewing again!! I have 13 days before we leave, and I have to make approximately 10 outfits!! :scared1:

And the kids are off school Friday....I am so dead....

SO, how'd you do? Were you able to make as much as you wanted? I'm glad it's over for you.

I made some good $$, and Dh says it looks like I didn't sell anything. Some of it will go onto :wizard: after we get back from our trip, probably, like excess patterns and such, but I'm glad it's over.

All the huge rolls that prompted the sale are being donated, complete with write off.

Lori, this was the "fire sale" I was talking about on Monday-ish.

Wondering how it went too?

Revrob I hadn't seen you on in a while and was getting worried! I don't always read everything or check often though.

Had to share a non-disney magic moment my DD had last night. Her birthday is Tuesday (9!!! where did the time go! ) so last night we went to Coldstone for her birthday cone. I am a freak about signing up for free stuff on birthdays, Red Robin is later this week. Anywho...the great guys there let her mix her own ice cream!!! She is convinced she is the coolest kid ever now! (I agree!:lovestruc ) The picture is not great because it was with my phone, but just wanted to share!

The bow is weird. I need to work on bow tying.

I finally finished DD9 's (almost 10) birthday outfit. We used Carla's simply sweet pattern. I had to adjust it to her size since the pattern only went up to a size 8. I hope that didnt mean people over 8 won't like to wear it. I think its just a cute pattern for everyone. I would like to say that Carla's pattern was simply amazing!!!! It was 118 pages of glorious info and really good tips. I followed right along lickety split! Great directions!!!:thumbsup2

Ok so here are the final pics. Then I have to wrap it up and give it to her. I told her to act surprised!

The fabric was just devine! I got it online on sale. :yay: Here is the link to the sale if you are interested. I ordered the ZaZa squares set and sewed them together to make the skirt part of the top! ;) http://reprodepot.stores.yahoo.net/zazacollection.html

How fun! We're going the 23rd, it's the only one while we're there. I'm the crazy one with the huge unipod and a teeny tiny digital camera on top - Mom's the one who's back will glisten in the lights from the crystals! (And yes, I'll have my lime green hangtag on!)

"We will be there on the 23rd also"

We'll have LGMH's too. I want to affix them to our Joovy Caboose(sit/stand).

I will keep my eyes out.. I will have my 8yo daughter so no strollers this trio:cool1:

I have to go to HD and pick up some LG Mickey heads

Thanks! I used Carla's easy fit pants and added a bit to the top so I could make the ruffle on top of the casing.

Ohhhhhh that ruffle just adds so much to the cuteness of it all. Would you mind explaining how you do the ruffle on top of the casing. I never seem to get my casings right away....:confused3 :worship:

That is so cool. I remember when I was 9 I got to make a Personal Pan Pizza at Pizza Hut with the Girl Scouts and I thought I was all that and a bag of chips.

That is so pretty. I love the earth tones and I think that they great on your DD.

There is a great Bow tutorial in SewBeautiful magazine- I think its the latest edition...
I found my pattern-ease-finally but now Im not feeling too good...

I just heard DH yelling "NO! Bad dog!" and just knew from his tone it was Kayla (foster dog) and ran upstairs to see what the commotion was about... apparently he left my chicken pie (homemade pie crust etc) on kitchen counter- which WAS to be my dinner and she jumped on counter and ate it- because DH didnt put it away. So now I have no dinner...

Hello...I'm so fed up with :wizard:...I'm thinking of not even bothering with it anymore and just sew for the girls. The problem is, is that I have so many ideas, and their closets are full! :rotfl: I love when people offer you VERY low amounts for what you have listed...okay..I worked on this dress for about 20 hours, but sure you can have it for nothing..and hey, let me thrown in free shipping to the other side of the planet...no problem...:lmao:

Oh dear! That was rude of me not to mention Scrappy. Well, as you can see he is perfectly fine:

IMG_0414.jpg

Apparently Megan left him a lovey in case he gets hungry during the night. Do your doxies sleep under their bed cushions instead of on top of it? I think he is wishing I would get off the computer and go to bed so he could snuggle under the bed covers where he belongs rather than that dog bed!

Oh my goodness: that is horrible!

AWWWWW...Sir Scrappy is SO darling!!!! Yes yes I know that look...the "Do you SEE what I have been reduced to?! Scrounging around in a DOG bed when everyone KNOWS that Dachshunds belong in PEOPLE BEDS!!" My pup does that too...he'll knock the cushion out sometimes and drag a blanket over to his bed...it's his way of saying he's ready for BED! Doxies are burrowers to the highest degree! I LOVE IT!!!

Your Megan is a good and darling girl for loving her doxie and being good to him!! Sally loves our pupper SO much. Dog-people are very special sorts!!:goodvibes

My dog is currently at my feet chomping down a supposedly difficult to snarf down Dentabone. He eats through those things in SECONDS. He is a power chewer our boy!!

When Jenna was a baby I bought her a little pink and purple monkey. Her grandma (on her dad's side) asked me what the monkey's name was. I told her that it didn't have a name. She looked at me like this: :scared1: . She told me that all of her babies needed to have names. So the monkey was named "Beans McMonkey" (this name took me two weeks to come up with). So ever since then as a tribute to her Nanny Vette we name all of Jenna's babies. She wants to name them all Jenna or Jennifer. I always have a hard time convincing her to give them individual names.

See and you thought you had issue.

Oh GOOD!! I'm not alone!!! I flat out REFUSED to allow my step son to name his Raccoon Webkinz "Raccy"...that is NOT a name. It's a lack of a name...so he picked George.

:lmao:

Sally wasn't much better when she tried to name her horse "Neigh-y"...seriously...I eyebrow arched her for even suggesting it. She ended up naming him Blaze...at y'all will NEVER guess who's suggestion...

*ahem*

I know. Issues...

:flower3:

Morgan and I had a magical (busy) week.

We were able to spent quite a bit of time with Morgan's "Baby". (This is the little boy Morgan knew from China) It is amazing to see these two children reunited again on this side of the world!

We went to Sea World
shamu.jpg

and got "VIP" seats for the Elmo pirate show:

abbyc.jpg

And MK (No customs, but Morgan and I wore matching Tinkerbell tees:) where we celebrated Morgan's Birthday. We were in the Family fun parade:

morganparade.jpg

The kids got to make Cotton Candy (and keep the whole bag they made!)
cottoncandy.jpg

And they made "cakes" at the candy shop on Main Street.
cakesonMainstreet.jpg

Looks like it was FUN!!!

I didn't know kids could make cake and/or cotton Candy on at MK!!! Where is this done?! My little munchkins would LOVE that!!!

I absolutely LOVE this dress! In LOVE with it!! It's just gorgeous and your daughter looks lovely in it!!!! FABULOUS job my dear!!!

I better put some SCOOT in my BOOT and get my next TR chapter done before people start sending me hate mail!!!! It's been a nutty weekend and I'll get like...five minutes to sit...which makes it hard to TR write! I need free creative space in which to flow and weave...

;)

I'm sorry your pieces didn't sell. They are gorgeous. To me, I feel like :wizard: is the luck of the draw. The only times I've noticed when people are really successful is around certain holidays. If I could afford it, I'd love to buy some pieces from you. Your clothes are really inspiring :)
