Thank you!!! The fabric was a sheet in it's former life! :rotfl2:
I bought it last year on disneyshopping.com and posted pictures of the sheet set on here. I think at the time people thought I was weird for buying sheets for fabric. My, how things have changed around here! :lmao:

SO SAD - I could almost cry, I soooo wanted to case you!! :(

I have a few minutes, and wanted to share couple things that I worked on this week... for breakfast at Crystal Palace...

This is a Tigger set that I made for my ds...do you think the fabric is too girly for a boy? I broke two needles while doing the applique last night, and still have no idea how and why the needles broke.

IMG_4003.jpg

I made this next one for my dd, and need some honest opinions here...I am not sure if I really like the skirt with the top.....should I make another skirt to go with the top? What do you think?

IMG_4019.jpg

Jenny

I don't think the fabric looks too girly at all. I love the Tigger outfit!! Your appliques look really good. I'm not sure why your needles were breaking. That happens to me on occasion and I can never figure out why.

I think the shirt and the skirt look really cute together!!! Your kids are absolutely adorable!

Very clever use of sheets. Which pattern did you use for the peasant dress?
Thank you! It's CarlaC's Portrait Peasant dress.

SO SAD - I could almost cry, I soooo wanted to case you!! :(
 I'm sorry!! Try :wizard:

Here's Tessa modeling it. :rotfl2: Tessa and Ryen (girl in above picture) have the exact same chest measurement, so I figured she could try it on for the pictures. It's a bit short on her though!:rotfl:

First of all, CUTE DOG BUM! :rotfl2:
LOVE the former Princess Sheet Jumper! Where did you find that gem?
Look at your fancy shmancy topstitching! I JUST got done with a seam ripper because a topstitch I did was slightly skeewampus.

Yayyy! I love your breakfast with Pooh outfitz! Cutie bug kids!

Okay, lots to say...

First, since it's weigh in day and I actually went to WW this morning to weigh in, I'm happy to say that I'm down...

3.0 POUNDS!

Teresa and Spongie, I hope you are both feeling better or are at least enjoying what the oral surgeon sent you home with. :teleport: That was the best I could come up with for a feeling loopy smiley.

I have to make a farm type outfit for Delaney now by the 22nd. I just found out that Buck Howdy is playing at a local coffee house on the 22nd. If you've got a preschooler and they watch Noggin, it's the guy who sings the song about Buttercup Farm (which incidentally is a real place about an hour from me) the Bah, Neigh, ****-a-doodle song. I'm singing it right now in my head, it's a very scary place to be. :lmao:

Anyway, I digress, I'm thinking about a peasant top and a pair of decoupage jeans. Can someone give me a quick tutorial on doing them? Any tricks or pit falls to watch for or do you just make the shapes, zig-zag around the shape leaving a little outside the zig zag to fray?

My dad got my shelves up yesterday and I've started putting together the sewing area, so I guess I'll really have to get it moving if I'm going to be sewing this week.

Delaney is begging for cookies and I find myself typing what she's saying instead of what I'm trying to type so I'll try again later when the voices stop.
LOL! YOU got censored!!! :rotfl2: (sorry:rolleyes1 )

Congrats on your weight loss!!! I was gonna call you a big loser but didn't know if you'd know I was kidding ;)

First, I wanted to post this picture of Tessa's Build-A-Bear wearing the "Sew Boutique for Dolly and Me Simply Sweet Dress". It matches Tessa's Birthday/Easter Hello Kitty dress.
Tessa took this picture herself!

Second, here is the incredibly cute daughter of my "Bestest Friend in the Whole Wide World", who is turning 3. She's the one who will be wearing the princess dress:

Your kids are sooo cute!! And I think both of the outfits look fantastic as is!

TADAMOM- Sydni just saw your Incredibles outfit and was jumping up and down saying " I want that, I want that!" over and over! Looks like I will be caseing this some time soon!

Your DD looks beautiful in her new outfit! Are you serious that it only took you 15 minutes. Wow! I'm hoping you aren't including the time it took you to cut the fabric!
:rotfl2:
There is only one cut on the entire outfit. So yes the 15 minutes included cutting.

I have sheets similar to the ones you used. I am waiting on my Farbenmix pattern to use it with.

Both of those outfits are adorable. The tigger is perfect for your son and not girly at all. I love the skirt and definitely with the top.

This is simply adorable! I love the combo of these two dresses.
What did you make the peasant dress out of? Is it just cotton. I think I may use this pattern for the girls easter dresses.

I saw this fabric for the first time today and I was going to buy it for nicholas, but thought it was girly! After seeing it on your son I think it is not and will buy some next time I am at Walmart!

oh and yes I went by the fabric dept and bought $30 worth of fabric!

Thank you! Yep, it's just sparkly pink cotton from JoAnn.

No. Thank YOU.

No, No, Thank you.;)

Weeeell...my top stitch is a bit skeewampus, also...But, I left it! LOL! Notice I didn't show the topstitching on the bottom hem up close. I got the sheet on disneyshopping.com last year. It was about $8 for a queen sheet set!!

I told Daphne what you said about her bum, now she's walking around here like her farts don't stink. :rotfl2:

These are just gorgeous :) Love the teddy bear dress and the set you made for your friend's little one.

Hello from another quilter!! I promise you if you keep reading you'll be making clothes before you know it!!

So come on then pictures of your quilts...........:)

Yep, lets see some quilts, I am always amazed by how pretty other folks can make a quilt ;)

Definitely not too girly, I love that outfit and the girls outfit is super cute too. I think, if you have time, a white underskirt with ruffles would be so cute peeking out from under the skirt :)

OMG!!! I want to CASE that from you! It's beautiful!!I'd love to be able to make something like that for Violette to wear for our disney trip! One step at a time...lol...

UTAH MAMA!
Sorry I didnt get a chance to tell you yet how much I loved your apron/reversible dress for Norah! Absolutely precious! Did you decide on the hem yet?
THANKS! No, I have to get some pom pom fringe AND do some serged edge-roushing with aqua ric rac (brick brack  ) in the middle. Then I'll decide. I have extra wide aqua ric rac i could also use. It's a little funky like I visioned.

I can't even pick out shampoo or paper towels without it taking FORever so it may be a while.

I bought my 1st sewing machine today! Yay!! I have no clue how to use it  but I'm enthusiastic to learn! It's a Singer Simple machine. Very basic. I just love children's boutique clothes so much. I'd love to get good and make a little at home business out of it since I stay at home with my daughter. Does anyone know of any good online tutorials?
Nope, never seen any online tutorials. :confused3

:rotfl2:

Just kidding, I have a ton of tutorials in my bookmarks. The link is in the first post of the thread and in mine and Heathersue's signatures. Lots of learn to sew sites there too. There is a search function on the site too, if you have trouble finding something.
Well, I said that I probably wasn't going to sew anymore for my niece but I just finished The Incredibles outfit for her. She is having an Incredibles b'day party @ Chuck E Cheese the weekend after Easter and I made this as a surprise. I am also going to make her a Pink Panther outfit as part of her b'day present. If she doesn't wear these outfits, then I am not making anymore for her.

.

Oh WOW that turned out incredible!!!! Sorry, I coulnd't resist either!!! That really is great, I just love it!!!
I have this dream too and I think about "what I will do" everytime I go over a bridge. And, on a sad note -- this actually happened to my cousin several years ago. He was heading into town during the wee hours of the morning and something happened (we think he fell asleep but we will never know for sure) and his truck went off the road before the guardrail started for the river. His truck had plunged into the river. A fisherman heard what he thought sounded like a vehicle going into the river but he didn't see, nor did anyone else. The fisherman went to check it out and called the authorities but there wasn't any evidence that an incident had happened, just what he thought had happened. They finally decided to call in some divers but it was too late. My cousin had drowned while trying to get out. This was a fear of mine before but became even worse after this actually happened.

I also have the dream that I can never remember my locker combination (I was always forgetting it for real in hs) and I can't get my stuff out for class and I always get F's b/c I don't have any of my work to turn in!

Oh no, that is awful, I'm so sorry about your cousin.

Okay, lots to say...

First, since it's weigh in day and I actually went to WW this morning to weigh in, I'm happy to say that I'm down...

YEah on the weight loss!!! Good for you!!!!

My mouth is hurting a bit today, and I think the antibiotics are making me queasy, but other than that I feel pretty good.

Misty, are you out there?? How are you doing???
Delaney is begging for cookies and I find myself typing what she's saying instead of what I'm trying to type so I'll try again later when the voices stop.
