Here's the Clarice and Chip shirts I made for Tessa and Sawyer. I can't remember who suggested putting Clarice on there- but thank you!!!

My two goofballs:

Wow Heather! Very nice applique job! My DD 4 came running over to tell me Clarice was a girl, hense Tessa was wearing her, and Chip was a boy, so Sawyer was wearing him... ... Rocket Scientist in the making! :rotfl2:

Ok Tom or Jham or anybody:

I just bought the Tinkerbell pillowcase at Walmarshay, now what? More specifically, what now? (besides prewash it). ;)

YIKES, this one doesn't have two faces, the back is just "TINK" so i feel jipped.

I have all the purple and lime coordinating fabrics for my stripework skirt. I just don't know how everyone has perfectly lined up massive face bodices.

You just lay the pattern piece on it till it looks like it might work and cut? Ok! I'll do that. Yes, I'm having a two way conversation with myself...:wave2:

I laid the bodice on the pillowcase where I thought I wanted it to be & then outlined it with my disappearing ink fabric marker. That way I knew exactly what I was getting & where I should cut it.

I wanted to use the TINK on the back on the strips of my shirt, but hten I decided not to torture myself that way. :lmao:

Well unfortunately we had a non-sewing weekend but a good one nonetheless. DD9 is in 4H and has been working on her presentation backboard all weekend. Here are some before and afters...

She has a huge 3 ft. stuffed horse, brushes and a laser pointer (she loves this thing) to go with the backboard to help demonstrate proper horse grooming techniques! :cheer2: She presents to judges :groom: on March 14th.

And to round out the weekend we went to a Kid's Can Expo and the girls got to hold critters and color and weave and make cool tin punch shapes! It was freezing cold out too but sunny for a change! :beach: Not exactly beach weather yet...

Thank you Teresajoy! That is pretty much what I needed to know!

I'm so excited!:cheer2:

You are welcome! I have pictures almost ready to post of the second one I did.

:lmao: Do you really want to call that a "skill"?? :lmao:
JUST KIDDING!!!
numbchuck skills, computer hacking skills..... (Napoleon Dynamite refererence for Deann) ;)
Did you wash the barfy jumper yet? :scared: We still need pictures!
Yes, the ketchupy/french fry with chocolate McMilk came out of her jumper, thanks for asking. I've already re-ironed it so we're back in business.
Thank goodness! I wasn't sure what kind of pictures we were going to get! :rotfl2:

Wow Heather! Very nice applique job! My DD 4 came running over to tell me Clarice was a girl, hense Tessa was wearing her, and Chip was a boy, so Sawyer was wearing him... ... Rocket Scientist in the making! :rotfl2:
She knew who Clarice was?? That's pretty good!

Sounds like she is all set!

That looks and sounds like fun!!! I love your family picture! And, the giant loom thing looks very cool!

There have been some great outfits lately.

Ok so I have not been sewing these past few days because I have been working on this. Ds5 said he wanted a Splash Mountain cake so I worked on it around the clock. His party is tomorrow and he has not seen it yet. We kept it hidden in the house til he wakes up.

I was really hoping this logo sign would have been more clear but the icing started to run together. I took forever for me to do as it was my first attempt at color form writing so I tried to cut myself some slack. :lmao:

Brer Rabbit, his bag and his door are color form too. I liked the way the door turned out different colors of brown by streaking the bag.

THAT IS AWESOME.

So i finished the first outfits ever for DS(4) and DS(2). Yes he is a boy I just can't cut his curls and DH likes the surfer look.

And just because she has to have her picture taken I let DD(6) pose in her outfit that eeyore3847 made. I have not made hairbows for it yet so she wanted to wear a set of her valentine bows. She is a Diva

Here is the second dress that I made for the grand daughter's of the lady Brian works with. It's for the older sister. I messed up the sash and have to redo it. I made it too skinny, so in one picture I doubled it up so you could see what it will look like. I think I'll add another ruffle to the bottom too, because I'm afraid it will be a little short. She wanted it a size 7, and it fits Lydia perfectly and she wears a size 6 or a smaller 7. My ruffler decided to fight me yesterday while I was doing this dress though ,so I'm not looking forward to getting it out again! I've never had problems with that thing before!
Another thing I learned is to double and triple check to make sure you printed out the YCMT patterns in the correct printer setting! UGGH! I KNEW something was wrong, and then after I cut it all out, it dawned on me! GRRRR.... I HATE to waist Minnie Dot fabric!!
Ok, so I'm stalling while I wait for Photobucket to upload my pictures, could you tell????

Here is Lydia modeling it, she really likes it so I may have to do this one for her too. She's watching Cars, so she's not looking at me!

They are the cutest thing ever! And you did a fabulous job on the appliques, too. :thumbsup2

She did a great job with that! Good Luck to her!! That expo looks like something that my kids would really like. Very fun!

Your children are beautiful. I can see why you hate to cut the curls! I really like the length of the boys' shorts.

You're so funny...:rotfl: What I am planning on doing is putting fusible web on the back of tink and appliquing her onto the bodice, instead of using the pillowcase as the bodice...Does that make sense? If not...watch and I'll disappear pixiedust:

Great job! And I think Lydia does need one! Waste Minnie dot??? :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: I'm pretty sure I could modify those pieces to fit a 2 year old named Lily! :rotfl:

Okay, so I finally got back around to sewing. My new niece arrived Friday, so it's been a round of hospital visiting, baby sitting their 2 yr old, etc. I took the day off from all that today and made this:

DD is moody today and didn't even want to try it on :rotfl2:

OOps sorry the pics are so big! Wait I think I fixed it...maybe not. Sorry!!

I'm still squeemish with applique, even though I haven't given it a fair shot. I'm sitting here holding the tink pillowcase and thinking the face is huge, I'm overwelmed. Plus, Norah is screaming because her ears or neck hurts. I can't tell which because she's just skreeches the answer to my question "WHAT HURTS?" My patience is running out.

Anyway, you go first with Tink. :p So I'll know what to do. LOL.

Good luck on the Tink!! and I sure hope that Norah gets to feeling better. It really is awful when they can't/won't tell you what's wrong.

I wonder if any of the wonderful ladies or Tom that bought so much of the Minnie Dot fabric could part with about a 1/4 yard :rolleyes1 I sure could use some to make an outfit for DD.

Okay- I have to run because we are like five days from leaving!!!! Too too much to finish but . . .

Heather- love Clairice. Adorable

Cathy- The 4H project was too cute. Your DD did such a great job!!!!!

AZMickey- Totally speachless. I can barely make a cupcake!!!!

I am hoping to start a pre trip clothes report tonight. DD is really really ill. She spent the night at my Mom's and came down with a massive stomach flu. Poor baby has been puking for five hours.
