FWIW, I recently got this in the clearance section of Joann's... In one it was in the $2, $3, $4... section (it was $6, gulp, hardly a clearance bargain!) In the other store, it was actually on the horizontal shelves with the home dec fabrics.)

I have something for ya.....its called "Secret Keeper Girls" for when Norah gets to be 8 or 9 years old. Its from Focus on the Family and its about teaching your daughter about modesty and how special she is, etc. Its a series of dates you go on...absolutely fabulous.

I would like some info on this, too. Is it like Women of Faith? I know they have the tour for the teenagers, but I haven't heard of the one for the younger girls.

I wanted to post a picture of Deb's (my3princes) handiwork. This is her first two attempts at her shirt for herself that she posted a while back. She donated them to my daughters and they wore them to Tusker House for breakfast last week. The youngest one doesn't like a bare chest so she has a black tank under hers that worked out perfectly.

The friends around the world fabric is gone. Is there any other fabric that anyone is searching for? I am a bit obsessive about finding hard-to-find-stuff. I seriously bought most of the christmas presents for my friends kids because I could find all the right stuff- I guess that means that I spend too much time in stores. . .

My dd saw some of the twirl skirts so that will be the first thing I tackle.I have lots of old fabric left over from my diaperig days,she has already picked out the one she likes so off I go.......

Hi I'm a lurker that's coming out from under my rock! My husband is the seamstress(sp?)he's made several shirts, shorts and he's in the process of a dress for me, I know a little about sewing, but I like painting shirts and learning to make jibbitz for crocs. Here's some things that I have worked on this week. You guys are awesome at making clothes and I have been sending my mom here to get ideas for my little sister!

WOW!!!! I have been off for a few days and WOW! I came back to lots of new, cute things! Tooooo much to try and catch up on, but everything is FANTASTIC as usual! Sorry to hear about all of the dental problems going on, hope everyone is feeling better soon! I have been taking time to sew, sew, sew! I have made several things, but have been unable to get cooperating models, so I may just post some pics tomorrow without models! I have managed to make 4 dresses and a capri outfit! I just got carla's easy fit pants, aline tops/dresses, and her new pattern! So I have made one pair of the pants, one aline dress, one aline top, and one simply sweet dress! I LOVE YOUR PATTERNS CARLA!!!! IF YOU HAVEN'T MADE ANYTHING WITH HER PATTERNs, BUY THEM THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!!!! and she is not paying me to say that! I just think they are sooo easy and the results are fantastic! Hope everyone is having a wonderful night and HAPPY SEWING! I hope to have some pics to share tomorrow!

I have that dream occasionally. Far more often, I have a dream where I'm in high school and I've forgotten where all of my classes are. I have that dream so often that I started thinking it actually happened, like a memory! What else do you all dream about on a regular basis, that's appropriate for the Disboards?

Oh my goodness! I have that same dream! How wierd is that! I dream that I am just wandering the halls because I lost the slip of paper that they give you at the start of the year that lists all of the classes and the room numbers. I am always showing up late or going to the wrong classes entirely. I haven't even been in high school for over 12 years... I wonder what that one means?

I AGREE!!!! Carla's patterns are THE best!!! I have the same ones and they ALWAYS turn out great...even w/me making them!!!

I stopped at Joann's today and got a few more pieces of fabric, just what I didn't need. Some of the older prints that were on clearance.

Dad's coming over tomorrow to help me get my shelves up over my sewing table. I got a couple of organizers today to help me along. Maybe then I'll be able to sew with some space!

That is too strange! I am going to research it and see what it is supposed to mean. I didn't think it would be that common. Also, in my old high school, there was a slopey part in the main hallway and I dream that I am wearing hard-soled shoes and I can't get up that slopey part because my shoes keep slipping. I don't remember ever having that problem in real life though. That lost in school dream always leaves me feeling bewildered...
