Disboard Veterans-- Current Code watch normal?

While I know that every code release brings anxiety, does it seem like that there are more people than normal posting and waiting for May dates? Everyone, including yours truly, seems to have booked first and are now waiting for codes, if any.

Im just wondering if I have contributed to the fate of smaller discounts, if any at all?

Some historical perspective would be appreciated! Thanks.

Seems about the normal amount of rate watchers to me. I've been around since 1997 and, while the site has grown immensely, the anxious anticipation seems about normal to me. We just weren't on pins and needles for so long last year! In fact, the early release took us all a bit by surprise, at least it did me.

I'm waiting for June, rather than May, but there's quite a few of us, too!

I think that 9/11 precipitated the early release last year. And that is making it a horrible wait this year.

According to Mousesavers.com, they've been out around March in past years.

I've been following since 2000 and have always seen codes or ap rates available for May, June, etc.

Another thing that may have made people more anxious was the release of march/april discounts to the general public. Last year there weren't any codes like this, so even though the discounts are small, it's very nice.

And I think it's made the May watchers crazy!

Actually, on Mousesavers, Mary reports codes for packages for late april and summer may be coming on the 23rd. So hopefully everything else will follow.
