Disaver Club

As for me, I doubt I would ever use the service either, because I like to book everything myself. That way I know exactly what I'm paying for.

Perhaps I'm missing the point of your message, but with DISavers, you CAN book everything yourself. When you transfer that reservation to DISavers, you will then get the rebate (minus the $15 handling charge) which based on the lowest cost you have already found. This includes any discounts you can find.

You will know exactly what your cost will be in advance. The rebate is merely the commission paid by Disney to travel agencies- usually 10% of the pre-tax amount.

Questions??? If you book through DISavers, Can you get more than one discount. (example: a disney club discount and a discount from a code you found on the net.) And when do you find out how much your rebate is?

Also, when you say that the reservation is booked directly with disney do you mean that we call you and tell you what we want then you call disney and relay the info. We will from then on get info. (confermation, etc.) direct from disney?

Also, how do you pay for reservation? Do you use a credit card to pay deposit over the net or
phone through DISavers or will you send deposit in to disney as normal.

Last, when you say transfer, how do you go about doing that? Do you make the reservation with disney , then call DISavers and say "I made a reservation with disney and I want you guys to get it from them."

Thanks,

Disney won't offer a Disney Club discount on a discount code. Each is a separate discount offered separately.

If you make a reservation with Disney directly, it can be transferred to DISavers. All we need is a transfer fax- we'll provide the information needed for this. The transfer is bascially your authorization for Disney to transfer your reservation to DISavers. We can't do it without your authorization.

DISavers can also book the reservation for you. You would need to tell DISavers what rate you have found and if it's available, we can book it in your name. You will then need to make the deposit (and any other payments) by credit card. Information will be sent about doing this. Confirmation will then be handled by DISavers. THe deposit and any other payments are made to Disney by DISavers using your credit card. DISavers will not receive any payment - everything is done thru Disney.

I hope this helps!

Hi, I'm new, so forgive me if these questions have been asked and answered before.

1st, do you have to join first before submitting your reservation request to Disavers? I am staying at YC on a convention rate (New Devices July4-7) and am not sure this is a 'commissionable' reservation. I would hate to join and find out later that either my rate can't be matched or that there is no commission paid for that convention.

2nd, is there anyone on the board who has booked thru Disaver, come back home and received their rebate? I would love to hear from past customers.

Thanks in advance

Your convention reservation could be transferred if it was booked thru Disney directly. If it was booked thru a convention program, it likely can't be transferred without cancelling. If you want to email me the specifics (dates, rates and details of what is included), I'll try to find our whether it can be done thru DISavers for you.

Since DISavers has just begun, we have not had many travel thus far, but there are several who have already used the program. Perhaps they'll respond to your question!

Reservations can't be submitted to DISavers until you are a member. If you have questions about eligibility for specific reservations, please let us know.

I have a question I haven't seen answered yet:

We all know there are a set amount of rooms available for each discount. Which means a set amount also go to travel agencies, right? So, what if there's a discount available to me when I make the reservation, but when I transfer it to DISavers, all of their allotted discounted rooms are gone?

Thanks,
Melissa

If you have a reservation made with a discount, the same reservation- confirmation number, discounted rate, requests and all- can be shifted to DISavers. Nothing would be changed on an existing ressie.

DISavers can't accept reservations made thru other travel agents- even Dreams.

I've used Dreams in the past, and was just going to use them again for my January cruise. However... I've decided... after seeing and reading this thread.. to join this program. You guys were awesome for me before.. and I completely trust you. Thanks for answering everyone's (and in turn.. my) questions.

I recently transferred reservations made directly from Disney to DisSavers. When I got my reservation confirmation from DisSavers I had a new ressie #???? So which reservation (confirmation) # do I use when I check in. The original one or the new one. I though I read on these boards that nothing changes. And why is there not a phone number you can call? What happens if there is a problem when checking in who do you turn to??? I too would like to hear from someone who has used the service and returned satisfied.

Hi WDW2000

When you made your reservation through DisSavers your were assigned an agent to contact for questions and to help with your reservation. Please email him/her and he/she should be able to address your concerns. Or, if it makes you more comfortable, you can email me direclty at john@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com and I will do my best to help.

Also, once your reservation becomes active in our system you will have access to it through your private membership page. This page should give you all the details of your reservation (including the reservation number you were assigned by Disney) as well as a phone number to contact us. If ofr any reason you had trouble upon check-in simply call the number listed on your reservation page and we would be happy to work with Disney to fix any issues that arise.

Again, please feel free to write to me direclty if you are esperiencing difficulties with any of this.

Thanks
John
