Disappointment at the Happiest Place on Earth!

I really hope you write Disney and let them know of this. In my experience, Disney is very good about resolving problems they're aware of.

When I went with a friend in February, her 5-year-old daughter got a nosebleed during the night, and got a lot of blood on the sheets. This happened to be the morning of our Cinderella breakfast, so we were in a hurry to leave, but we pulled the sheets off and piled them in the middle of the bed.

When we got back late that night, the bed had been made up again using the bloodstained sheets. And I'm not talking about a small stain, either - I can't imagine the staff not noticing it.

It was late, but we called down to the front desk. They told us that housekeeping was all gone for the day and there was nothing they could do about the sheets. They'd make a note to change the sheets the next day. The little girl did not want to sleep on the stained sheets, so we asked again if we could get some clean sheets. Eventually, and quite reluctantly, someone agreed to bring up some clean sheets, repeating to us that we would have to make the bed ourselves as it was not her job. We waited an hour before the sheets arrived.

No, I don't change my sheets every day at home but I do change them if they get bloodstains! I think what made us most unhappy was the response of the staff. Not only did they not apologize, they did not seem very wiling to resolve the problem even by bringing clean sheets.

I had a very mixed experience at Pop when I stayed there the week before. I had a terrible experience my first night that might have made a person of lesser mettle (or with less jet-lag and more knowledge of other accomodations close bye :teeth: ) make like a tree and leaf. (Ha ha bad pun, just couldn't resist for some inexplicable reason, sorry :rolleyes1 ) However, after the initial terrible impression, my stay was excellent :wizard: . So I've decided to wait until after my next week's trip, which is again at Pop, and write a review then, so that I can give as balanced and fair a review as possible. Hard to understand how a hotel can get it so badly wrong, but then get it so right, in the course of one stay. I can see why there are both glowing and tomato-throwing reviews on the resort board. With-holding overall judgment for now, stay tuned... :confused3

I've read alot of these posts, and It has me wondering. Unless you have really made a mess of your sheets, how do you know that housekeeping hasn't changed your sheets. I understand If you are in the room the same time housekeeping is there. To me, that seldoms happens, or if it does, I like to get out of the room.
So If you are in the room with the maid and you don't express you want the sheets changed, whos fault is it?
It's not the sheets that are nasty, It's the comforter. Those things may get washed once a month?
I've noticed at some Courtyard's, they no longer have the comforter, It's some "dress up " at the end of the bed. Something that is more easy to wash.

DM and I stayed at Pop about this time last year.

We had a great time....we knew the room would be small...but for 2 reasonable adults it was fine!

We had great neighbors who had won their trip from a radio station in Philly....we became their Unofficial Guides...even got their 15 yoa son out of the room! Explained busses...hoppers....best park for teens...how SAFE it really is there (using common sense!).

Found overall experience better than the year prior at POFQ where I dusted the room after about 4 days!

Yes...I am also weird in that I tear the bed apart before I get into it the first night....make if VERY tight with good corners and hope mousekeeping doesn't mess with it!

Have taken a random poll here at work...5 out of 5 of us here don't expect sheets to be changed every day unless we are staying at a 5 star hotel....

Teresa, I certainly hope you got the name of the CM that told you that, as that is a total copout. I would have told the manager the next morning. Our daughter projectile vomited all over the bed our first night at WDW last March (in the middle of the night), and not only did CSR's mousekeeping promptly come up with new bedding, she also made the bed for us (when I gave her a $5 dollar tip she seemed shocked.).
