Disappointing Honeymoon/Homophobic CM's

Well after hearing from a lot of peeps that didn't get much pixie dust either, it seems to be the norm and the rare occurence is to get something special. Well that makes me feel better...... hopefully when we go down next month for my 30th, there will be a few more "happy birthdays" then "congrats".

Thank you all for the congrats and compliments on the photographer, she was really amazing and had such an interesting eye for different angles and light. We should be getting our proofs this week!!!!

Funny thing is, after your post, *I* feel better about *our* honeymoon too! I was really bummed that we didn't get nearly the attention that others seemed to get, but after reading other people's experiences, I guess not everyone gets fawned over! I guess people who have great things happen to them are pretty vocal about it, while people who get very little (*cough me! cough*) don't speak up as much.

So thanks for your post. I'm super jealous of your photos, glad you had such a great wedding day, and relieved that I wasn't the only who didn't get much pixie dust.

I'm sorry your honeymoon wasn't as happy as it should have been. I would love to say congratulations to you both on your marriage and wish you many years of happiness! I'm hoping some of the people were just confused and thought you were just 2 grooms missing your brides (though I'm sure some were being rude, I hope not all.) Again, congrats!

Not that this will make you feel any better, but here goes...

My DH and I were married at Disney. We spent multi-bazillion dollars on our wedding, as most Disney couples do. We got the ears, the buttons, etc. Wore them in the parks all week - got nothing, except one 'extra' shot of liquor in a pina colada in EPCOT, that I was actually purchasing for my mother (so I guess she got something, not us...). We didn't really care - we paid for our 'magic' and got it on our wedding day (everything was incredible).

Here's what ticked me off though - talked to a couple that were wearing 'just married' buttons that had received a few different surprises in our presence (seemed like we were following them around that day). We were just joking with them that they seemed to be getting everything, and we were getting nothing. I asked if they were married there at Disney and they said no, that they actually weren't even just married. They just got buttons to get free stuff... GRRRR!!!! But, I let it go - no skin off my nose, you know?

So, although it's entirely possible (sad, but possible) that you had issues based on your life choices, it's also possible that you guys just fell into the bucket we did - the 'bad luck' bucket...

BTW - your pictures are awesome - what a great photographer!

Congrats on your marriage! And if you can forgive Disney, maybe a Fairy Tale Vow Renewal is in order??

I am so sorry your special trip was unDisney-like. How rude and awful for them to act that way.

CONGRATS!!!!!
