I was at DCA yesterday with my DS4. We go every Wed. to the parks.

Taste Pilot's Grill ("the Airplane Restaurant") is my son's favorite CS in both parks. We go there a lot!

I was disappointed (and a bit angered) yesterday to find the following changes had been made:

1. Kid's Burger Meal is now only ONE mini burger. Price remains the same at $6.49!!!! It used to be TWO mini burgers. Not cool.

2. Toppings bar now has iceberg lettuce, instead of romaine. A cheap, unhealthy alternative. And, the prices of the burgers has gone UP!!!

3. The "specialty" burgers are GONE! No more blue cheese, or chili burger. The only burger offered is the cheddar cheeseburger. And, it was charred beyond recognition. It had CLEARLY been cooked in advance and sitting out. It was very dry and not good. The is the first time I've been disapointed in a burger at Taste Pilots...the burger meal is now $9.49!!! Previous price was $8.49.

4. The buns are now whole wheat. This is actually okay with me, as that's all I eat at home. Luckily, they were toasted up, and were actually quite good.

The rest of the menu seemed unaffected, except for price increases across the board. Everything is about $1 more than it was two weeks ago.

Seems like they are trying to make up for the fact that half of thier eateries are closed right now due to the refurbishment. It's unfair to make the guests have to pay the price...

Add me to the list... dd and I usually get two kids meals... but with only 1 mini burger it won't be worth it...

What??????????? You've broken my heart........ I'm so sad right now. :( :( No more Wild Bleu Yonder burger?????????? Seriously......I want to cry.... :(

I loved the chili burger........I hate change!

...as long as the ribs are still there I'm good.....

Me too. :) We didn't care for the burgers there but DH and I like to split the 5 rib plate. I'm still mourning the loss of the criss-cut fries they used to have there.

Sad to hear this. I thought that TPG was one of the better places for CS meals last time I was there. Loved their salads, though, so if those are unchanged that'll be a plus at least.

well the change does't effect me as the toppings bar is still there . still got the tomatoes bbq suace etc! :goodvibes..so change or no change, im not affected by it. i just know that it's disney and this is what they do!

This is NOT a good way to encourage people to buy their meals on property, Disney. Boo to you. I never used to eat off property very much but that is changing rapidly.

So where should I even try to eat lunch in DCA in December? They seem to have closed so much that I'm afraid to make a plan from any website (including Disney's) at this point.

I was only neutral about Taste Pilots to start with, and none of this is really inspiring. Guess I am currently leaning toward the Pacific Wharf Cafe ... seems to be the only part of the park NOT under construction!

OK, the " no waffle fries for you!!! " was bad enough, but no more blue cheese burger? No more chili burger? Even without the prices being increased, I can for sure say that I won't ever be going back. Which is sad, because I used to love Taste Pilots...

oh come on everyone. its probably not that bad. look at the glass half full be optimistic!!! come one!! im sure its still a great place to eat!

Scratched off my list. I can get a better burger just about anywhere. And for half the price. If I'm gonna spend Disney $$$ on food, I want it to be at least a little unique. Well, I might go for the ribs but not a plain, $10, generic burger. :(

Iceberg lettuce isn't healthy?? Uh, yes it is. It's a good source of Thiamin, Vitamin B6, Iron and Potassium, and a very good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Folate and Manganese.

I loved the 'Wild Blue Yonder' burger. How sad it's no longer on the menu. Like many others, I'll probably opt for a different location to eat, now that it's gone.

we're going in Dec. .. I loved TP... especially the Wild Bleu Yonder... lame that its just another burger joint now :( lame lame lame

I don't think it was a wise move for TDA to make so many changes to TPG because there aren't that many places to eat in DCA and the menu had different offerings which made TPG unique. My only guess is that maybe the cost of some of the items was beginning to become too high and there wasn't enough of a demand for those specialty items but it is a shame for those who enjoyed eating there. I'm sure TPG will experience a decline in business with all the changes and maybe they will switch it back.

Full Throttle Fries are definately NOT the same without the waffle fries!!! At first I couldn't figure it out why it wasn't as good as the last time we had it...and finally figured out its just regular fries! at least make them krinkle cut fries!!

Everything seems to be getting less and less tasty...like the corn dogs..they really are not the same as they were last year!
