I don't know where else to vent this, so I guess here's probably better then nowhere. I'm really disappointed. I'm in a unique situation with my tumor, not many people have it and have gone on to do what I want to do, which is return to hockey at a very competitive level. I finally found one guy who has, he wrote a book about it. I read it, it was very good. I decided that I would try to get in contact with him because he's the only person who can really understand what I'm going through right now. He used to have his own charity, Head 2 Hollywood that took brain tumor patients to Hollywood for stuff. He closed that and decided to work with Make-A-Wish, Greater LA chapter as an ambassador. So I sent them an email like 3 weeks ago to see if there was any way to contact him, I told them my story and at the bottom I put, that I understood if it wasn't possible. Do you think I've heard one peep out of them? No. No, we'll work on it, no, we'll see if it's possible, nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch. I know it's a long shot, but it would be really nice if they'd just tell me something.

Thanks for listening.

Big hugs and go ahead and vent away. I have a ton of hugs and chocolates.

Try contacting his team as they might be better equipped to handle your messages. http://www.haie.de/

Thanks for the support.:thumbsup2

Unfortunately, he does not play anymore. He currently has another job in LA.

I could understand even if they told me no, just tell me something, anything. I'm a big girl, I can handle it, I just hate not knowing anything.

Is it really that difficult to send a 30 second email with NO on it??????

I was just passing through (so I dont know anything). But i just wanted to say try emailing them again or seeing if you can find someone in charge of Public Relations that could point you in the right direction.

I have dealt with Make a Wish through other people that I know, we had a girl do a wish at my DD's dance studio. and sometimes it would take forever for them to get back to our contact person about what was going on. And it was an active wish. and arrangements needed to be made. So maybe it just got buried in someones inbox. Good Luck!:goodvibes

Thanks for the tip. I'll wait another week and see what happens, if nothing, then I'll send another email. :flower3:

I have also heard that some of the MAW chapters can take a long time roger back. Also, since your email was about something other than their usual MAW questions, it may be being passed from person to person there trying to find someone who knows what to do with it.
Besides the other suggestions, I'd suggest you try contacting the publisher of his book. They may have a way to contact him either directly or through an agent.

Thanks Sue! I'll look into that.

I had to be difficult. I had to be special. Had to be that 1 in a million didn't I???? Had to ask the weird question... :confused3
